Met him through work a few years back, I recognised him from his Swans days and came across as a very quiet and humble guy, enjoyed a quick but enjoyable conversation with.

He was a great lad.

He was quick too and would have suited today's game as a central defender. Only John Williams was quicker than him at the Swans at the time. Made his League debut against Huddersfield with Frank B telling him to mark Iffy Onuora.

He joined my martial arts club at one time. A hell of an athlete and competitor. He played centre half for Merthyr when they knocked us out of the Welsh Cup and I never forgave him that one.
