There has been a lot of chat regarding Hughes's formations and team selections and not knowing his best team but I think he did. I think he fully meant to always play a 4-4-1-1 with this to be his team and this his back ups:
Cesar; Bosingwa, M'Bia, Nelson, Fabio; Wright-Phillips, Diakite, Granero, Park; Johnson; Zamora.
Green; Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Traore; Mackie, Dyer, Faurlin, Hoilett; Taarabt; Cisse.
The 25 he picked mean this makes sense and he's had to play players out of position and all the old clichés still exist. For me I think choosing a formation and sticking with it is the key to success. Currently Europe's most successful teams are dong just that.
What would be your formation and who would you play? Me? I'd pick a 4-2-3-1 with these players. The back ups are in brackets.
