This place could go very quiet I suppose................ 23:31 - Dec 1 with 502 viewskropotkin41

I can't remember where online I was sharing the sorrow of being an Rs fan the last time were relegated - in any event I used to get to games then so I was less obsessed I think, outside of game days - but it struck me just now that if our position doesn't improve quite quickly then this place could become quieter and quieter between now and August 2013.......

It's amazing even to contemplate it at the start of December, but there we are.

Well I hope it doesn't get too deserted - it's been quite a bizarre and at times fantastic ride since NW took over, hopefully there'll be some better times not too far around the corner, even if my more optimistic thoughts/dreams do turn out to be rubbish.

If you're wondering whether this is a sort of "I love you all, you're great" thread from someone who has had one too many, it's not........ I've barely touched a drop this evening offisher.

unless we go on a crazy run 5-6 wins on the trot then we are going down and we all know it

i just hope come january the board and harry plan for next season in the championship on how its best to get us straight back up which players are worth keeper need replacing ect

if the gap between us and 4th bottom is anthing more than 10 points they must not waste more millions on premiership injury prone /old players on massive wages dawson parker bent ect

Listen to the band play!

If this forum is one thing, it's realistic.

Being a QPR fan is akin to appreciating the rich tapestry of life. We are like Joseph K, not sure how we have got where we are and in a constant state of confusion.

I was at the theatre of commercialism last week and was struck by how utterly souless the place is. They may have Bayern Munich, Benfica and George Best, but, do they have Vauxhall Motors and Man City away last season? Only the older fans have any context for their success (the same could be said of Chelsea fans - they know about Mourhino, but, not John Neal).

History is all football supporters will be left with, when the gravy train departs. Which is why the game today bewteen MK & Wimbledon is the most symbolic of this or any season and says, whatever happens, even liquidation, we, and this forum will still be here.

We'll go down this season I think, but QPR will carry on in one way or another. I just can't invest that much emotion in it anymore for my own good. At the end of the day there are more important things in life, and as fans we've got less and less to do with it each year anyway.

To be honest I've probably enjoyed the last 18 months less than almost any other time in my 35 years as a fan (with a few honourable exceptions). Watching us spunk obscene money on dreams and idiots while most of the rest of the world is struggling sticks in my craw.

Just trust the club will always be there in one form or another, and if you're a proper fan, it will be just as much fun watching us winning the Conference as QPR AFC (worst case scenario) as that Man City game last year. You just won't get to read about it in the papers.
