Youth team on Recast Tuesday

I was there. What a game and what a night. The front 3 of Kolli, Lawrence and Petrie were fantastic. They ran Spurs ragged and were well supported by the rest of the team. We were totally dominant in extra time when we looked fitter, stronger and more talented than the Spurs team.

Loads of Rangers in the crowd as well. Massive cheers when we scored our goals.

I got to speak to Critchley after the game and you could tell how much he enjoyed it as well. I’m sure he will reward some of these lads with some extra training with the first team.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Great fun and great for the club.

When was the last time we beat a team from a higher division at home?

I reckon that’s right. Home to Derby FA Cup 5th round Feb 1970. So over 50 years since we last beat a higher division team at home in a cup. That is ridiculous!
