The by-election result

Exactly this. Voting Reform does not make you a right wing nutter. Many very average normal people in this country are seriously worried about the amount of people coming into this country, we haven’t got a clue who many of them are or what their motives are. When do we stop when our population has expanded by an extra 5 million 10 million 20 ? . It’s ridiculous and Labour Couldnt give a monkeys about it. Reform are seen as the only party that will sort it out and many normal (not right wing thugs) British people want this.

Same here Grumps, never forgiven Adrian Heath for that last minute goal. Absolutely gut wrenching , Probably why there was so much agro on the pitch afterwards. 😡

5 Things About The QPR Game
at 07:13 26 Feb 2026

A lot of it is down to the acoustics of the stadium . As I’ve mentioned before I’ve had a season ticket in every stand since the ground opened. When I was in Kingsland/ Northam corner you couldn’t hear the Itchen North much in the early days, you could see clapping but not much noise. When I was in Chapel I couldn’t hear Northam much. When I was in Northam I couldn’t always hear away fans that were right next to us.!! I’ve been in Itchen North for a few years now, the Northam is loud from there as you would expect but you can’t hear chapel and you can see away fans in Kingsland corner clapping and bobbing about but you can’t always hear them.

As a regular away fan I can’t remember the last time saints fans didn’t sing “is this a library” when we were playing away from home and rightfully so because the home fans were quiet. Away fans up and down the country are usually louder than the home fans.

As I keep reminding my Coventry supporting mate all in good fun of course, Coventry have suddenly found an extra 7/8000 fans out of nowhere all because they are doing well. Prior to this season Saints support numbers wise has consistently been better than Coventrys when they have been playing in the same division.

1. Four clean sheets for Peretz now . 😙

2. Dominant display once again but getting just rewards this time with everyone putting in a shift. The players are playing for this manager no question .

3. Matsuki never lets Saints down, let’s see more of him please.

4. Flynn Downes is like a new signing fair play to him.

5. The Dell bar is a great place for a half-time beer and chat with mates in good surroundings.

6. I read somewhere we have hit the woodwork more than any other championship team. Another one last night to go with the one on Saturday.

Larin - a confession

Good signing Pat, a real handful tonight. Has scored many goals in his career regardless of the opposition. He’s exactly what saints have been missing a big target man who works hard .

Potentially a few games to be re-scheduled
at 15:39 22 Feb 2026

Pat, Sunderland spent about 155 million last summer on 14 new signings which is way out of our league.

Unless we get financial assistance from somewhere we'll be lambs to the slaughter. Dragan knows this and has hinted that he will seek assistance if we go up.

What team do you dislike the most
at 16:21 18 Feb 2026

West Brom , my favourite away. Always good saints support there, I like the roof on the away end which makes it a good atmosphere, plenty of pubs and we usually do ok there. This stems back to 1976 when we drew there in the 5 th round of the FA cup as a 15 year old nipper it made an impression on me .

I dislike skates and Leicester.

Agree Dirk. I thought Long had a good game. Sutton has never given us any praise over the years not sure what his problem is with us . Today showed we do have a good squad for the championship when everyone is up for it . The youngsters didn’t let anyone down today .

Romeu and other changes today.
at 08:24 14 Feb 2026

I expect Elert, Manning, Bragg, Robinson, Larin, Archer, Wood, will all get a good run out today .

Oriol Romeu: The Midfield General Returns in FA Cup Clash

After months away from competitive football, Oriol Romeu is ready to step back onto the pitch for Southampton, bringing experience, leadership, and a calming presence to the heart of midfield. The Spaniard, 34, rejoined the Saints last November after time without a club, and he has spent the past weeks quietly rebuilding his fitness and preparing for his return.

Speaking in his press conference today, Eckert said:
“He has so much experience to share here, so much quality in the game and the way he approaches things, and the way he can also lead others around him. Sometimes it needs time f you haven’t trained with a team for a couple of months and you come in at a certain age, it’s not like you just switch it on and everything clicks straight away. If you look at the miles of the game, especially in the middle of the pitch, we have players covering above 12 kilometres every single game, and we need that in the way we approach games at the moment. He’s been working so hard over the last weeks and months, and he’ll get a good chunk of minutes tomorrow.”

Sometimes eating humble pie tastes good!
at 04:30 12 Feb 2026

Something has happened with the change of attitude of the players over the last few games. It started with sheff Utd at home. I could see they were giving it their all and it continued into the games following that. If you haven’t seen the players celebrating and punching the air and screaming after the Leicester game take a look, it’s shows real passion and determination this can only be a result of Tonda Eckert’s influence .

No need to eat humble pie mate. We all care about this club.

Stephens has improved a lot. That tackle at Stoke right at the beginning of the game was immense and he is consistently performing well now after years of sub standard performances. Fair play to the bloke. I also think he is more of a leader than some suggest I’ve heard some saints players comment on how vocal he is.
