If a week is long enough to instil the new manager systems in to our players I think we will be celebrating a win on Saturday...or at least a draw. In the short term perhaps he will want our loan players back to see if any of the youngsters are capable of helping to save our Titanic from slipping in to the abyss
Ignoring the WBA game where a point will be a bonus we must win the next 2 home games to give us some breathing space especially as the opposition are in the same mess as ourselves at the moment
Its very generous of the directors to give free coach travel from Swansea but would it not have been a better idea to partially sponsor ticket prices as we have many exiled Swans fans
Excellent performance and fingers crossed that the team can perform like that again at least twice....and a word about the commentators....why the insistence on going on about CCFC A=and their players when it is a Welsh team and why are women so involved with the mens games whilst its all women for the womens matches...not being nasty even my wife commented about it
Roberto Martinez was an unknown entity as a manager when he took us over. Yes at a lower level but this coach was with Klopp at Anfield so he should be pretty well admired as a good quality coach...
Its only a short trip for our local derby but I suppose with our latest poor performances fans are giving this one a miss....early kick off...long walks to and from station....expensive to travel on official club coach...probably on tv
This is a very even league so far with teams at the bottom beating teams at the top and vice versa. There is no reason why we cannot get three points at Deepdale as long as we start as we finished at the Valley. Swans to win 2-1
Fisher does not exude confidence in my opinion...everytime I see opposition players attacking our box looking at Fisher he stands on his line looking scared....yes he made some saves recently but that is his job Play Vigs and a strong team tonight and win more money for our transfer kitty at the seasons end
The only plus point on Saturday was Vigoreuxs performance in goal saving quite a few shots....but surely we dont need him kicking the ball to their defenders on the half way line to start up another attack?
The directors have invested quite heavily in this squad so far and I would assume they are expecting a positive position high up the league in the play offs if not in the top 2. We are mid table at the moment and would probably have been higher if concentration levels in 3 of the home games had not wilted causing dropped points. I can vividly remember the old days at the Vetch when signing players was a rarity and we just got on with watching our new free transfers doing their bit......times have changed and expectations mean we must achieve promotion to the promised land. I for one am happy to be a solid Championship team
Official club buses were run for Birmingham and will be for Southampton and apparently will be for Charlton....they are using a company called Coracle Coaches from down Carmarthen way
Hopefully we will approach the game with positivity which we showed against the Owls a couple of weeks ago instead of playing in a deep defensive shell allowing Birmingham to dictate play. We can win this 2-1
On paper this squad is probably stronger than the one that achieved promotion to the promised land last time. If AS can keep the players believing in his different tactics for each opposition that we come up against and keep injury and suspension free there is no reason why we cannot at least get in to the play offs. The board have done what they promised and I hope the missing fans now come back to support the team
