Good to see so many positive comments. He has pedigree, came through Chelsea kids teams. Unfortunately he got injured last season at a critical point when the first team squad had injuries or he may have had his chance. We ended up playing Naughton as a centre back for a few games. Let him stay there and play, now is not the time to bring him back |

I read somewhere that the ban for gouging was between 12 weeks and 12 months. It looks like they have gone for the minimum. Hardly a surprise. What I was more amazed at were the sympathetic comments by Biggar & Warburton in the aftermath … cowardly & shameful and that’s just the comments, the intent was clear for all to see |

It has to be said that none of the on loan players have really cemented their position in the starting eleven. A couple of them are most definitely better than some of our own yet they continually get chopped & changed. It was never clear under Sheehan nor is it now what our strongest starting line up looks like. As stated in the article the lack of staff with the right experience at the club is not helping. Due to this lack of focus survival is the only thing that matters now. The new coach has to identify his strongest players & play them. There is no room for experimentation or developing players whilst we are in the relegation mix. Survival first then reset (again). The lack of strategic direction on & off the pitch has been disastrous & it could still get worse [Post edited 4 Dec 18:05]

She was called out on misleading the house about the size of the black hole live on tv several times today. Her response was that she was proud to be bringing so many kids out of poverty. She never answered the question. She is a liar, she knew exactly what she was doing & so does everyone else now. |

First time I went in there I can remember queuing at the bar then seeing someone open one of the huge American style fridges - filled from top-to-bottom with kebab skewers. Never seen so many, well worth a try too. Pub looks small from the outside but when you go in it’s room after room after room, usually pretty rammed in there but decent atmosphere for a mixed fans pub |

Sounds like the illegals in Calais get better treatment than English football fans |

Can’t think of one meaningful thing this woman has actually achieved. Maybe cement Wales’s place at the bottom of the UK health league in her role as Health Minister or whatever it’s called in the Senedd … |

I am not sure it can be concluded that we are ‘one of the better footballing sides in the division’. Obviously it depends on the definition of what makes a good side. Good sides score more goals than the opposition, good sides keep clean sheets, good sides are hard to beat. Good footballing sides create chances Xg, shots on target, touches in the opposition box. We are lacking in all these departments. Whether this is down to coaching or the players we will soon find out. Dominating possession, having more passes than the opposition, playing at walking pace, giving away possession easily does not make us a good footballing side. Many opposition managers say we are a good side when they have just beaten us. We are where we are, to say we are a good footballing side is grossly distorting the facts, the league table does not lie. [Post edited 23 Nov 13:09]

Understandable that everyone is writing off O’Dea as results have gone downhill since he arrived. However Sheehan was also seemingly unable to halt the slide when Williams (& Duff) were in charge. He may get 3 games, he could surprise us all |

You’ve got to laugh they want Cardiff (in the east), another team in the east and a team in the west. Just pathetic. Good to see the Dragons walk out of their meeting. It would be good if the others have some solidarity. It is clear the WRU plan is to divide & conquer. |

They will know him well. I think he’s a Kiwi & played international rugby for their junior sides. He came here because his chances of playing senior rugby for the All Black seniors were minimal |

Agree with all that but anyone who has ever been to Middlesbrough would surely not be in a hurry to go back. Maybe that’s why meetings took place in London. Rough, rough, rough to put it mildly |

A lot of posters on this board backed RM to the hilt & even talked up his record at Southampton after their promotion. I won’t call out any names but there were quite a few, you know who you are |

If he is in London touting himself around to the highest bidder I would have expected us to have moved on already |
 | Forum Reply | Has he been sacked yet at 07:45 11 Nov 2025
Fair enough, my timeline may be a bit blurred but for me the difference in the second half of last season was having O’Brien on the pitch. We shouldn’t forget that Sheehan was also a big player in Luke Williams’s staff & he was unable to turn our form around working under him. |
