You are up a ladder and you drop a screw, what are the odds of finding if.... a) You in an enclosed space like a bathroom. 50/50 b) You are in a garage and you hear the screw hit the floor....and then total silence. 10% c) You are in the garden and it falls into the long grass. 0.001% Screws...twisty little sneaky bastards, especially the flat head ones. |

"Well that's that then, we're doooomed!" Usually heard a few days before a match when it's announced that the ref will be Stroud/Ward/Friend. |
| Forum Reply | Points Deduction could equate to promotion to the Promised Land?! at 21:43 12 Dec 2024
"After the last five games, I'm thinking that Shefield Utds points deduction might work in our favour, and may well be the difference between us being in the Play-Offs or being in the automatic promotion places. Thoughts?!" (checks page 3 of the glossary) Well, it was a must win game! And "We can definitely still make the play-offs!" So what the hell, I'm in! |

Enjoyed the film of the same name so expected a bit more meat on the bone with the story being split over six episodes. In the end six wasn't enough as they were constantly skipping past years and that's a shame as there was so much more that could have been included. For example, there was next to nothing shown of his dedication to improving the car and how he physically drove it differently to everyone else. All that being said, it was very good and he's still the Messi of F1 for me. Such a shame that he had to die before substantial changes were made to driver safety. *Edit* Putting on my little pedantic hat. The credits average out to around 12 minutes long and if you cut them out, episode four is only 40 minutes and episode six is 46 minutes. The rest fall short of the hour so, yeah, I know, I'll take the hat off now. 12 minutes of credits though, wtf! [Post edited 10 Dec 23:02]

If it wasn't a 'like' every five seconds it was an 'um' at the slightest hint of a pause. Todays annoyance is "I'm not gonna lie". Well that's awfully decent of you chap but you could have just chosen to tell me the truth without the unnecessary preamble. Which, unfortunately, now makes me believe that you may indeed be about to lie. Edit. Ah crap, that was meant to be a reply to Logman. [Post edited 4 Dec 18:39]

So the TV is connected to the router via an RJ45 cable and not Wifi? If it is and you've got decent internet speeds, say, 100Mbps+ you should be good to go. *Edit* Just to rule out your internet as the problem, can you play 1080p videos in Youtube without any blurriness? [Post edited 4 Dec 0:14]

Would have snapped your arm off for a point before the start but now, ahhhhh, so frustrating, should have had all three. |

When Madsen gets stupidly booked in the 2nd minute, shanks a good opportunity way wide and is doing his usual "well I'm here, what more do you want" half arsed trotting about, we are allowed to criticise you know. [Post edited 30 Nov 13:07]

Hopefully Marti sticks with his "yellow card = no 2nd half for you". Madsen, what's the point of him? [Post edited 30 Nov 12:57]

As others have said, the first goal flies into the top corner 1 out of a 100 times but you have to be ready to take those chances and he was. The best thing about the second goal is the confidence boost it will give him because he only got the chance because they were chasing the game into extra time and that's a luxury we/he won't get very often this season. So if we are hanging on to a one goal lead, he's a great option to bring off the bench as he showed he can be calm under pressure in a 1 v 1 situation. If only we could find the bastard love child of Armstrong (get out of my way puny boy) and Celar (Come on keeper, keep coming)....ahhhh, we can dream. Away to Watford, won seven out of eight home games, drawing the other. Bollox. I hope the good vibes hang over until Norwich and we give Celar some real encouragement. Need to come up with some new Celar songs... |

Bloody hell, what mixed emotions. This forum never ceases to amaze me. One minute we are talking about burgers and if QPR were a movie and then you read a post like that. Mr Honney called it earlier when he said there's always a post around Christmas that puts everything into perspective and this could be the one for this year. There are real hero's walking amongst us but we never see them. Respect to you sir and RIP to Chris. [Post edited 28 Nov 0:20]

Just watched the replays of Celar's second goal. He had so much time to fcuk it up but stayed cool, considered his options, waited for the keeper to commit and like Messi, just chipped it over him like it was nothing. Lovely jubbly. |
