We have 3 more games in the next week or so. Fellows is back from injury so I suspect the physios said he could go around 70 minutes. |

It was a cracking strike. No one would have saved it. Hardly Bazunus fault was it. |

Teams like Oxford sit back and try to hit us on the break. Fellows has been poor but we just need a striker. A good old fashioned strong number 9. A Beattie or a Ricky Lambert type to give us more up front. It’s clear Stewart can’t do the job. |

We so need a striker. We haven’t played badly and don’t agree it’s tippy tappy at the back it’s just we don’t have an out and someone to get in the box. |

Yes prefer Quarshie as has more pace and moves the ball forward. No idea why the change. The 3 I can live with. It’s up front we are lacking. |
 | Forum Thread | Tonda is doing a great job at 12:18 21 Dec 2025
It’s unbelievable people are starting to call out Tonda Eckert. From WAC to he has to go or he’s reverting to rusty ball. 9 games. 6 wins. 2 losses and one draw isn’t it. That’s 19 points from 9 games and if replicated over a whole season would give us 92 points and almost certain automatic promotion. This from a manager who inherited a team that couldn’t win, didn’t have a settled side and was looking more at relegation rather than a possible play off position. It’s his first job, he is bound to make mistakes and get things wrong from time to time but I think he’s a breath of fresh air. Yesterday showed we need a striker who can get on the end of crosses. If we can get that either through a loan or getting Stewart fit then there is no reason we can’t push on up the league. Merry Xmas. |

Probably not but calling him a WAC is laughable |

Calling out a young manager who has won 6 out of 8 games who is learning as he goes. I’ve heard it all now. |

Apart from Leo there is no threat. Azaz seems uninterested. Get Fellows on if he’s fit. |
 | Forum Reply | Saints v Coventry at 12:43 20 Dec 2025
Like I said last week we don’t have an out to get us up the pitch. We need a striker. |

I used to like a game of keepy uppy but when you get in your late 60s it becomes a bit challenging. |

I liked to stroll about passing it backwards or sideways. |

I have no idea if the guy is a Pompey fan or not and don’t really care. What I fail to understand is when what is essentially a bit of fun for Saints fans to exchange views on a variety of football or non football topics descends into personal abuse or threats. Be cool and don’t take it seriously. Merry Xmas. |

No not losing your mind. From my memory Wembley was played with one goal and goalie and a free for all for everyone else. If you scored you went off and into the next round. Remaining player was out. The trick was to goal hang and try and get a deflection. Many happy hours playing footy in the park. |

I worked in this sector and there is no surprise it’s getting worse. Labour inherited a justice system in total disarray. Prisons overcrowded and poorly staffed with new inexperienced recruits after loads were lost during austerity. The probation service privatised by the Tories is in a mess and the courts cannot cope after lots of closures and cuts again during Tory austerity. Blairs Labour awarded huge contracts under PFI to private companies which cost an absolute fortune which we are still paying for. Successive Govts have totally failed the Justice sector. |

This. Wood and THB as centre half’s protected by Oriol and one other when he’s up to speed. Need a right back though. |
