Things You Have Changed Your Mind About

Fair dos, he’s an arsehole, but also a hero….

It’s incredibly clever. I kind of think of it as: when I’m on the tube and some wee prick is blaring drill, tik tok or some other such shite (never a sun ra fan) I have to resist the urge to slap them and f*ck their phone out of the door at the next stop.

Let’s say I did that - who’s the areshole?

Mike Tyson vs The Problem Child

Yeah it’ll go through distance, 8 , 2 min rounds with sparing gloves on, so not really a boxing match at all

I get what you mean, but he does go on about being a proper boxer, a lot!

It’s annoying that bastion/sport/place where you will get knocked the feck out for running your mouth off is no more

And he could do inside about 30 seconds. Likelihood is he’ll be paid much more not to do that, just like mayweather

Fecking ridiculous, if you wanna prove you are a good pro boxer, fight some of the other good pro boxers

Hate it, this bloody fake it till you make it shite

IR35 was closed years ago but there is still massive advantages to being paid into a ltd company for example you can pay 200k into a pension through your company if you have sufficient annual allowance, you can buy everything thing you need through your ltd company and write off as biz expenses. You can even buy a commercial property through a ltd company

Edit: anyway, Nourry need to F off and be shown the door, disaster!

Is anyone else a bit done?
at 10:30 10 Nov 2024

Yeah I know what you mean, it’s a consistent inability to do much decent transfer business coupled with bad management/decisions on the few decent players we do get them for me. Currently we’re better off with kids that need to make it as they at least have something to prove

I haven’t been regularly attending since early 2000s and I’m getting to tbr point where I can’t be bothered to it watch on the telly. I had the game on yesterday in the background with the sound down and was pretty chuffed we only lost by 2. Not really a great ambition, pretty painful to only win 13 of the last 56 home games or whatever

Yes if you were hiding 3 strikers all banging in goals for fun and choice of 8 midfielders some of whom had different strengths then I suppose there could be some advantage in theory. Of course if we had this then we’d have no issues but

Otherwise it’s all a bit… why’s Mary in the cupboard, does she like it in there, is she adjusting the doors, fitting a new light or just having a good old fashioned rest

If you were being cynical (I am) then you’d have to say this lack of information is to avoid accountability, not so much competitive advantage as competitive hiding….

As previously said if the boss is doing it in the office then when why shouldn’t the players do it on the pitch?

So that’s how you get a midfielder with zero attempted tackles I suppose

Calf problem. I had a grade 3 tear of my calf playing football a while back, my Mrs is a physio. Next up from that is a rupture, basically the muscle is torn off the bone. It was very painful, thought we had a sniper in, felt like someone stamped on me but there was no anywhere near me. Basically one down from the worst ‘calf problem’ you can have, except for someone blowing your fecking leg off I suppose.

I was fine after 3/4 weeks, didn’t even see anyone about it. Had to hop about for a week. Not a pro athlete, in reasonably good shape ect, I do have pretty strong calf’s from skipping/boxing. I’m 40. Never had another calf issue since, I do warm them up before running/skipping, always have done else I get shin splints

If I can maintain that level of calf health/fitness part time, without trying, and with zero professional assistance something is up

Maybe I’ll start a go fund me and we can all chip in and get each of the lads a skipping rope? Everyone has to do 20 mins of skipping every day with 10 push ups every 3 mins, NO REST!

Does anyone have any info on when Frey or any of the players that are injured might be back?

Or is that info withheld for competitive advantage too?

Anyone ‘back on the grass’ get that in the glossary, next to shite!
