I'm pretty sure 3rd Jan '88 was the best day at the Dell Although, tbh... I'm a bit sad that I never got to see a match there |

A 52/48 leave win should have meant we left the EU, but joined the EEA or EFTA and stayed in the customs union so we are aligned with the Republic of Ireland and kept a free porous and peaceful border... The government would have fulfilled the promise of leaving the EU but not trashed the country (and Ireland) as they appear to be willing to do now. Anyway, with regards to your away game on the 24th... Why don't you just get an early train, get off at Portsmouth Harbour and have pre-match drinks around the nicer pubs in Old Portsmouth then get a cab to Fratton? Just travel incognito - anyone over 18 should never go to football in colours anyway ffs. |

Disgraceful. Should've been a zero attendance at the B Team cup. #AMF |

Great player and a nice bloke too. I've seen him at Fratton for testimonials and charity events in the Portsmouth area and he chats with everyone. |

Fingers crossed that we'll both be in the Championship next season... |

So glad we're in the lower leagues even though the football is often shockingly bad. I realised long ago that my football day experience is going to the pub with my mates, watching the match then back to the pub after. No gimmicky light shows, no goal music, rarely changing the kick off time for TV and not too expensive STs. The result or quality of the game is totally immaterial. The Championship and League 1 really are the most fun divisions to be in and away trips are much better with usually sensible prices and proper kick off times. Just they're all miles and miles away for Pompey in L1 apart from Charlton and Oxford. I haven't watched MOTD or had a Sky subscription for years and if Pompey ever did play in the PL again I wouldn't pay out for a ST. I remember the nineties when you'd see Pompey and Saints players out in the bars and clubs in the evenings in the local area, generally all happy to chat with both fans and rival fans. That all stopped when we were in the Premier League but since our decline through the leagues it has got a lot better with players now on not much more money than the average supporter and again you see them out and about and living locally. Just wish you lot hurry up and get relegated along with Brighton and Bournemouth, and we get promoted, but not because of any hatred whatsoever, just so I'd have some local derby games again and you'd all be so much happier. With love Stan x |
