Totally agree ,this seems a strange decision for sure unless there is something we dont know .Next home game v the Biffos a week today ,weather forecast showing no discernable rainfall so a PP and we might as well give up.
The only reason the corner in question(if it is the corner) wouldnt have been done at the same time as the centre circle has to financial, whoevers that decision was must take the credit for this and maybe many more PPs.
Oh What memories ,a 15 mile walk to raise funds for a new training facility at bowlee (wonder what happened with that ) preceded this game for the trust in wonderful weather ,erm well not quite wonderful weather .Best part of 15 years ago, my word they were fun times travelling the country watching this brand of no fear football.
The game today was very frustrating,in my opinion the sideways and back passing didnt feel aimless at any point in the first half like it has done on many occasions ,we were by far the better side in the first half and 2 guilt edge chances should have been put away which would have ended a near spot on away half.Second half more even but such a sloppy goal to give away and kind of cemented our thoughts at the interval of what was going to happen.
All joking aside I am more concerned about the Ogdens seeing no tangible return on their investment regarding the club going forward with their "plan".From an outside perspective how have we improved the self sustainability of the club or is it too early to tell, what has been done by SG to promote the project 5000 ,all we see is last minute info after being prompted. Please someone tell me I'm being over critical but I can't see it.
As much as I'd like to disagree with your post I honestly can't,not for the sake of disagreeing but it's long gone where you could say if we stop paying sky it will all come tumbling down,it won't and as you say its way past that stage.Only the fast flowing upbeat football on the pitch can keep us happy ,OH wait a sec.
There is alot to disrcedit football at the moment ,ticket prices /kick off times etc etc but the most important thing is the intergiry of it ,look after the fans because they are paying for it in one way or another. It seems harder to support Dale now than it did 45 years ago,how can that be possible ? Pure and simple fans want to be part of the club and not just to be tolerated, its poor at Dale and has been for a number of years ,will it end ? Under SG ? What do you think ,James a Poll ?
Please ring somebody up here before you set off ,its pretty bad up here at the moment. Maybe have a back up game ? ,im going to even more non league Radcliffe if its off.
Community ?? now thats where the issue lies here i think, with this top table running the club as it stands there is not a community but more of a dictatorship while they are in charge .Nothing is going to change unless the owners put people in charge who are capable of running a football club ,community club , 5000 project are just words ,its deeds that matter . As far as the trust is concerned the day they lost George Brigham is the day it became a yes vote for SG in my opinion , it is now irrelevent in the fan opinion option.
