Cheers Keith, hope I haven't offended you; it's just that so much of your information on transfers etc turns out to be correct π |

Honest question: how much does the insider information that we read on here affect our interests in the transfer market? Whilst we all like to read about what the club are doing behind the scenes, ultimately is it counterproductive?? |

Couple of things strike me: How white were our kits then? Dazzling π! Mick Mills looks like Basil Fawlty imo! |

I was there!! Trundle was sent off in the previous game against Huddersfield (2-0 and we fcuked it up π) so I thought we'd blown a potential upset!! But what a game - incredible atmosphere and pandemonium when the goals went in: all at our end too πͺπ¦’πͺ. |

I was there, and if memory serves, didn't Terry Phelan hit a 35yd piledriver that came back off the post in the second half? It felt like our luck was out with the own goal to make it 2-2, but the winner was my first taste of "limbs"!!! [Post edited 11 Jan 11:42]

I think it was a good transfer window, far better than in previous years. We look like we have two players competing for most positions. But the quality and the tactics seem miles apart. Where's the aggression and relentless pressing/closing that wears teams down? The number of times we allow opposing players time to pick crosses is criminal. Players need to come off "empty" only to be replaced by another with the same style. Just my opinion of course... |

Galbraith looked decent imo. Some nice interchanges to keep play flowing, but seemed reluctant to try a shot when in a good position. Hopefully there's lots more to come from him. |

Just heading home after the game. First half: Some neat and tidy play from us, but we offered very little up front. Ronald hit an effort that just went wide and Vigoroux brilliantly tipped a Whittaker effort onto the bar. Boro didn't look anything special, and were happy to hack and pull shirts whenever we tried to break. Second half they had two corners in succession, the second of which led to a flicked header that bounced in at the far post. Had we got a marker on the post we'd have cleared it, but these days it's all about zonal marking. Inoussa looks like he wants to take players on; Vipotnik was either static or offside. Once the goal went in it felt like we were never going to equalise, a mobile centre forward looks essential for the wing play we're using. |

Mate, the League is one game old and we haven't kicked a ball yet. And what if they (Wrectum) do go up? Would it really upset you that much?? |

"You seem to think that because we have owners who are loaded that they should go out and spend millions and millions, there is a thing called PRS and we have to adhere to it." Where did I say that? I said "Looking up, not down "; this doesn't mean we're signing Premier League/La Liga first teamers. As Dr Winston alludes to, the overseas market is where we should be looking, and I agree. This, in my opinion would be "Looking up". |
