End of the CLL as we know it?
at 22:24 3 Jun 2015

Norden and Littleborough are allegedly paid quite a few. Heywood say there aren't paying anyone. Not sure how true that is. Plus they are playing two pros. The LL wont as a league but they are looking for new clubs in 2017. Individual clubs will apply and I can see Four atleast going over there.

The CLL has a lot of history and tradition that clubs want to keep. That is the main reason.

Rochdale see no benefit in joining this league and wont be changing their decision . You are going in blind could be playing in a division worst to the standard of the CLL now. Whats the point in it? It would be great if we could expand the CLL with good teams such as Saddleworth.

Heywood have moved because of one man who turns out to be their best batsman. I can see the CLL folding in a couple of years, with a few of the bigger clubs left leavign to join Lancashire League. Such a shame

The enormous released list from clubs around the country
at 23:15 7 May 2015

Richard Chaplow is worth a look from Accrington. Id take Josh Mc Quoid as well. Roberts looks another good shout too. However they are on the released list for two reasons getting a better offer from other clubs or simply not good enough and wont improve dale

This would be the table if the results where exactly the same in the run ins. Very unlikely all of them would be the same. But if the results where the same this is what it would look like. Dale miss out by 3

Sheff Utd 46 21 12 13 68 51 17 75
Chesterfield 46 20 10 16 69 61 8 70
Rochdale 46 20 7 19 75 61 14 67
Fleetwood 46 18 11 17 50 50 0 65
Bradford 46 16 15 15 58 55 3 63
Peterborough 46 19 7 20 57 56 1 64
Barnsley 46 18 8 20 63 66 -3 62

It was a youth loan which expired today however there was an agreement in place to sign him on a 'adult' loan for the rest of the season which Brentford went against.

another suggestion. Fan Zone in the Ratcliffe or on the 3G pitch Get families involved. Get desmond down, get players not involved in the game down sign autographs etc get a band playing before the game. Crossbar challenge. Dads vs Lads Sell merchandise there. Have competitions for family of the week who get to go down to the dugout before the game. Competitions for discounted tickets for next home games.

Flexi Tickets scheme. The club picks Five games that people can choose to come when they can etc. The fan can get 3 games for £36 out of the five chosen for the club or £50 for all five games (10er a game) . In any area then get £5 off for one of the big games (Oldham, Bury, Preston etc). Get their details on a database get the players to ring them up when they aren't preparing for the game. Advertise it in the town.

Just a suggestion.
