It was very obvious from the response at full time that a lot of supporters are losing patience, there was sustained & loud booing at the players & even Wild Thing when they came over to R block & the Loft to applause the crowd. And I didn't hear for many years chants of 'sack the board' which were becoming louder during the last 5 minutes of the game & after the final whistle. The natives are revolting....... |

It wasn't that long ago when the atmosphere was electric at HQ, not only the Chelsea, Spurs or Arsenal games when we were back in the Premiership, but the Liverpool game when we came back from 0 - 2 down to win 3 - 2 when Mackie scored the winner & I honestly thought my heart was about to give up! This from a 50-year old man who ended up about 20m further along the terrace in R block in celebration! It makes the (very little) hair on the back of my neck stand up just thinking about it. I'll go to my grave remembering that. |

Clive, How you write this stuff is beyond me, I was sitting a row behind you off to your left at Wembley & I thought you looked like you had the weight of the world on your shoulders, I was one of the blokes who came over to congratulate you after the final whistle, you said to me I don't know who you are but I'm going to hug you anyway! My response was, Clive I know exactly who you are mate & the manly hug was to thank you as much for the joy you've afforded me by your written words this season as much as celebrating our win. Never before did I see such a rabid bunch of fans, the atmosphere was electric in R block. In the second half when Terry was playing right back he looked over a couple of times in utter disbelief at the level of abuse & in such volume that he was getting. The crowd was definately the 12th man, made my hair stand on end & so proud to be part of it. |

Guys, do you think that it would be a good idea as a group to write an open latter to the FA to object to the way they have handled the whole affair & copy it to the government minister currently investigating the FA, Uefa & FIFA? Maybe we could add momentum to a reform of the FA if the professional bodies are aware of disatifaction at a grass root level. Just another nail in their coffin. It occurs to me that Clive's piece above captures the feelings of a lot of us quite well. |

I was at the Burnley game when Andy Cole scored a hatrick & your'e right he got some fearful stick from the home fans. I can still see in my minds eye the smirk on his face when he came over to S & T blocks cupping his ear. I brought 2 English friends who live in Germany & they still regularly remind me about it now. |
