I have tremendous respect for you being prepared to fight for our country, when the politicians are not prepared to protect us from invaders, because that is what they are.

Franco's closing down is very good as is Widell's it a nice dilemma to be in.

To put Galbraith back into midfield who would we drop from Stamenic/Fulton, Widell or Franco as all offer something different.

The problem is Fulton is underrated by many, thankfully not those who matter.

If they drop Newport they will have to pay in the region of £5M compensation for the contract they signed last year and they won't drop Cardiff. There is the crux of the issue.

I would agree with that except when we buy and loan young players and don't develop our own questions should be asked.

Tomorrow the WRU are answering questions by request in Westminster, this is a long way from over. Don't be surprised to see common sense prevail with Newport being the one to go with compensation paid to their owners.

There needs to be players who will break through the glass ceiling for us and these two are quite possibly the ones to do it. Unfortunately I believe we have missed the boat, there has been no continuity with coaching staff for many years, we do not have Cat1 and there seems to be no progression through to the first team. I am Swansea through and through but if there was an offer on the table from a top European club financially more attractive and with Cat1 facilities for one of my family it would be a no brainer and it wouldn't be to us.

Tonight's attendance was 13,897 tickets sold, the actual attendance was far less looking at the gaps around the ground. It was a terrible night and it looked as if many ticket holders stayed home and watched it on TV. The club needs to look long on hard at what they are going to do to increase attendances. Season tickets normally go on sale six weeks ago and nothing has been mentioned. There must be some serious head scratching going on, tonight was like a division one game on and off the pitch.

It will be backed by the University who we shareholders in the project as were Swansea Bay Partnership who business wise will knock spots off the WRU.

They will have a very strong case as the WRU have rigged the process and not shown due diligence in my opinion. How you can negotiate with the owners of one region to buy your region off you when you are supposed to be for the benifit of all regions. There is a conflict of duty at the very minimum. Swansea Council just do it, its more pressure on top of the vote for an extraordinary general meeting that is being processed. The WRU have opened a bag of worms and do not have the skill set to sort it out.

Blackburn were shocking early on and we thought we would cruise it and lowered ourselves to their level. Too many players had a poor day by their standard Galbraith, Eon, Widell and Cabango for a start. Vipotnik was excellent even without his goals, Burgess was decent and Franco had another very good game and it was good to see Cooper get back on the pitch. All in all I thought a better team and we wouldn't have won, but we did and it was a vital win. Onwards to Hull and I really hope we up our game.

We have to give them ambition, hope and opportunities. Granted its too early currently but Parker being removed from the squad for a 36 year old does make you think.

If we have already starred it will still take two years to get to Cat1 because off the necessary appraisals over the time period. At 18 you don't want to wait and there is no guarantee.

Today is miles away from the dark days when first division clubs came knocking and bribed parents with holidays, cars and houses.

Lets be honest with the lack of development through to the first team in recent years would you advise a child of yours to stay here.

This is the area that I believe should be changed immediately, it just doesn't make any sense.
