heady days indeed, myself and some mates left school early that day, to get the train from romsey, queued for about 3 hours, only for them to shut the turnstile as i was literally about 2 people away from getting in.
then spent much of the first half walking around the ground, along with another 2-3 thousand others,
eventually at the back of the milton, some very clever gentleman, realised that if you pushed heavily on the exit gate it would swing open from the bottom,
being 16 and small enough, myself and about 50 others managed to squeeze through and get inside. although we were greeted by a steward he just turned a blind eye and we were in.
as the 2nd half progressed managed to get from the back of the milton to right behind the goal.
can remember seeing the ball kicked in by a fan for the '3rd' goal now.
best goal ive seen for years !!
one of the best weekends ever, memories that will last forever

i agree with singapore, as a fan even 2 -0 up i am still nervous,and was no different last night.
watching saints for many years has taught me to not take a lead for granted (as in the the pompey match) i am however quite happy for the players to prove me wrong !!
but there does seem to be some resolve in this current squad, as in the away day at Millwall. i am sure its NA's positivitey.

but i still have grey hair and high blood pressure !

i could watch manu, but that would be easy.

Saints At Cardiff The Verdict

my 2 away games this season have been leicester and last night at cardiff, i have seen the same thing both times ie. lots of possesion, fine control for long periods, but ultimatley with no end product !
too many times we seem to want to walk it into the goal,no one seems to want to take a crack now and then.
the other negative is that in both games its our silly defending that has given the other side the advantage, leaving us with too much to do.

i am really chuffed about our good start and position in the league, but we do need to tighten and strengthen certain positions.

i am fearful that if we dont we will become this years championship equivalent of 'blackpool'

still !! i will be there come saturday, gotta keep the faith !
