I watch/read from miles away in Durban , South Africa.
Are JB and staff capable of getting the Dale to safety this year ?
Zero cash etc but losing most games by 1 is frustrating.
Myself , born in 56 , in S.Africa since 64. Would love to see Dale remain in the league
till I depart.
Hoping we are still in 22nd at the season end - but note all the rest are splasing a little cash!
Up the Dale and cross my fingers.
Get a link to a sponsoring parent club in a hurry ?
A bit of a ramble but i think a shake up is needed NOW| |

Well done for starting the post Chalky , likewise I jump on the bandwagon and wish all and
their families / friends / mates etc an enjoyable Christmas and a great New Year going forward.
To the team and board as well , best wishes , looks like it will be a tough long season , hope the dreaded drop goes elsewhere . Bury did us a favour , lets hope we don't fail anyway.

What a poor run the team has been on and a bucketful of negative posts on here , me included - Fed up with the results.
Anyhow , have had my moan and .itch .
For the balance of the season all the best to the club, manager and staff and players and
I really hope that some form of recovery can be made and the club manage to stay in
Divi 1.
Wishing success and luck to the Rochdale family for the balance of the season. |

3 games , no goals for, 12 against - not the strongest opposition from what I last saw. A few out, a raw youngster in ?
Have always been a supporter of Keef and Beechie.
Anyhow maybe time to go ?
Staying in Div 1 imperative or we will be playing Brainstree in 2 yrs time.
Can KH fix it or can he not give a flying f.....

Have to say a great post from Col.
He obviously has a great insight into whats happening/been happening at Spotland.
The pre season signings and a few of the loans were spectacularly poor and expensive to the club in all respects. Wilbraham and Perkins - what did we expect !!
I recall England goalies Tim Flowers at Blackburn having a disastrous bounce in their Premiership winning year. Paul Robinson from Gary Nevilles back pass for England too.
Things happen, don't beleive Josh Lillis's miscue should have resulted in him being banished to the sidelines so we can endure the Moore/Norman poorer performances and just accept them.
Stephen Humphrys knew the setup from last year and may have been a better option.
Anyhow Col , your precis of the situation was great and I think you would make a better, currently more astute manager than the present incumbent.
It would be utterly demoralising to be relegated but the wheels seem to have fallen off.
The board seems to have disintegrated to a large degree and is Pastor Keith leading them
all on ?
Lets hope we are still in Divi 1 next season.

started 2 games and made 11 sub appearances out of 46 league games this past season.
obviously had become just a squad player at Wigan and coming to an age when he would probably battle for time even more in the championship.
lets hope it turns out well - will all know the answers in 12 month! |

Recently Portsmouth , now Bradford. Extra time goals. For lack of a better phrase I can say I am little bit peeved. Reading the forum talk Keith missed the target again ?
Looking forward to them staying up but you need some forward thinking Hilly Boy.
Not finishing bottom on your "awful" budget is not good but just a horrendous under achievement. |

With Danny arguing about money earlier in the season and not being played injured or not,
his big money 50mill move to Man Utd not happening , his crazy haircut etc - his ability or non ability seem to have gone to his head - no wonder he kept overbalancing.
Who what pay for that now !! |

Hi, Arrived in Durban in 1990 and live up in Hillcrest. The George is still there opposite the
Steak and Ale in Umhlanga. A new shopping centre/gym/restaurant complex underneath
the Pearls 3 around the corner opposite where Lord Prawn was up the road from the Pier.
As always some development in that part of the woods.

From a far distant spot, congratulations to the club/fans etc to getting to the facup 5th round. Has been a poor season league wise thus far but hopefully the Northampton win and with a few games in hand will give us some impetus to get into 20th by season position by season end.
The club needs to enjoy the current interest (mainly **** poor pitch, change the venue etc)
on the telly . Hope the police do not restrict the crowd capacity too much. What is the max
at Spotland at the moment. ?Big money spinner in any event but if 10000 in even better.
All the best from 28 C in Durban , South Africa today.
In the past few years v Stoke , v Nottingham F , v Leeds , we have had on the tv here.
