We was in the 3rd division so that’s about 50 places closer to start with, there were 20 teams in the premier league then, 22 in the championship and we weren’t in the top 6 at the time .
Weren’t Vauxhall motors in the Northern premier league? So maybe 40 places lower than Macclesfield. |

Compare that to our last game against the Hammers at Upton Park when Redknapp was in charge, was like night and day.
We went toe to toe with a premier league side yesterday when we didn’t lay a glove on them in the actual premier league!
I remember at the time berating Redknapp for sitting on his arse with his arms crossed just not looking bothered, compare that with monsieur Stephan yesterday who was highly animated and trying to make a difference from the side. He went up in my estimation of him yesterday. |

I his battle with the big C. Had number 7 on the back of my first admiral England shirt.
Also was allowed to bunk off school for the day to watch him compete in superstars, I was stood on the bend where he fell off his bike on the cinder track.

Brian had been in Police work for 35 years.
Finally sick of the stress, he quits his job and buys 50 acres of land in the hills in Tasmania as far from humanity as possible.
He sees the postman couple times a week and gets groceries once a fortnight, Otherwise it's total peace and quiet.
After six months or so of almost total isolation, someone knocks on his door. He opens it and a huge, bearded man is standing there.
'Name's Cliff, your neighbour from ten miles up the road. Having a party Friday night. Thought you might like to come at about 5:00...'
‘Great', says Tom, 'after six months out here I'm ready to meet some local folks Thank you.'
As Cliff is leaving, he stops. 'Gotta warn you, be some drinking'.'
‘Not a problem' says Tom. 'After 25 years in the business, I can drink with the best of 'em'.
Again, the big man starts to leave and stops.
'More 'n' likely gonna be some fighting' too.'
‘Well, I get along with people, I'll be all right! .
I'll be there. Thanks again.'
‘More'n likely be some wild sex, too,'
‘Now that's really not a problem' says Tom, warming to the idea. 'I've been all alone for six months! I'll definitely be there.. By the way, what should I wear?'

So I have had the two tickets I bought for myself and someone else on my network, I’ve clicked the links and added them both to my Apple wallet, but the link can only be used once which means I’ll have to scan my mate through the turnstile, could be problematic if you have a big network and aren’t travelling together.
