Sheehan - The Only Candidate

Another big step towards the permanent role after today's victory.

4 more games and barring a major hiccup then it's looking good for him.

Well my opinion and it will certainly vary from others I am sure.

He was brought in to keep us up and done a job over an 8 match run. He needs to keep that run going until his contract runs out at the end of the season and keep the players on their toes and not let standards drop.

We could go on a run of 5 games without win or even without victory and that would wipe out the good work from the previous 8 games and avoid the knee jerk reaction on what he achieved on the previous 8 games.

He needs to be judged over the entirety of his contract and there are still 5 games to go. He is certainly in a position to take it if his record continues in the next 5 games.

Surely if it were a solid interest then he would be off.

I think that has been filtered in to certain quarters to highlight his pedigree if he gets the job on a full time basis so fans think "WOW"

He's doing a good job but we need to still assess him over the next 5 games.

My fear is the club farthing over a permanent appointment after the seasons finish. They need to make their mind up and a manager on a contract as quickly as they can once the season finishes.

Sunderland coach travel cancelled

This not good at all.

What sort of numbers are we talking in regards to purchasing tickets for the bus trip?
Hopefully a refund on the match ticket if they were reliant on the bus with the club.

Kukharevych & Yates speculation, plus latest Swans losses, Allen & Naugh
at 18:42 31 Mar 2025

I would like to see him given a chance by whomever is in charge come the start of the season. Yates has got goals whilst in struggling teams in this division so has that experience and could possibly push on in a better team.

My only issue with him, he will be 29 towards the end of the year so I can see the temptation if a decent offer came in for him.

Am I the only one who thinks Yates can still offer us something?

Also discovering the same team that picked out Bobby Clark without doing the research that his parent club had loaned out too many players for us to be able to get him on loan.

Who was behind the Gautier Ott deal? Looking like that was on Watson but maybe someone could clarify.

Who are the 2 he is looking to bring in.

Chris Cohen one of them?

It's a big fee and supposedly plucked by the same person who backed Mykolo as the type of profile we needed at the club.

Wishing all the luck but I have massive concerns after what I have heard in the last 24hrs.

Montague has a good footing in Scandinavia and it looks like he has pulled a decent one out of the bag. Been helped by the fact that Christoffer Reedtz the owner of Notts County and director of Radar football is Danish.

Harry Darling new injury uncertainty reviewed and the impact
at 07:58 21 Mar 2025

Maybe this scare has created questions in his and/or his agents mind.
What happens if he gets injured in these last 8 games?

It shouldn't happen as the club are paying him but things like these crop up often in the money fuelled world of football.

And that was without the modern trappings of IPTV.

Gates were always going to drop year on year of we didn't get back to the prem. In the last few seasons the gates dropping have been laid on managers but that's just an agenda that suits individuals.

Guess what!? When or if we go to L1 then they will drop further....it's the nature of the beast.

Naughton needs to be right back for the remainder of the season.

He takes too many touches and just seems to be thinking what he wants to do with the ball before he receives it.

He's friendly with Nigel Morris and was the one that introduced Morris to the club.
I doubt MM would be interested though.

The club should be looking at involving Morgans boy and his mate in the club, if only at a very low level because these guys could be the future of the club if they carry on their projectory.

We don't have the depth unfortunately.
We are struggling in areas but we have 4 right backs if you include Sam Parker.
