As Tony Benn said, the way to control the population is to make them scared and demoralised. A population that is educated, healthy and confident is far more difficult to control. |

Another inexperienced politician who seems not to be able to comprehend the situation. Stomping around like Verruca Salt and making unrealistic demands won't work. If you cannot see or have no idea of what lies beyond your own political dogma then you are not a politician. Blaming imaginary sectors of society such as the "wokerati" just emphasises a level of foolishness. This is a global problem and thus needs an international solution. |

Another political lightweight with little real talent. Not the sort of person I want in charge. What if China invades Taiwan or North Korea invades the South is he statesperson enough to deal with these threats? The omnishambles that is Brexit has destroyed the Conservatives. 5 PMs in just over 6 years and still no clearer. It seems largely controlled by swivel eyed free market fundamentalists and chancers. None of decent Conservative politicians of a decade ago and before still exist. |

Today music doesn't seem to have the same prominance in youth culture that it did 20-30 years ago. Growing up it was quite tribal: Indy kids, Metallers, Punks, Goths, Synth bands etc. Then there was Dance music, Brit Pop, Electronica, Trip Hop, Rap etc. New sounds were developed often based on older ideas and sounds. Bands seemed to run out of new ideas in about 2004. There always seems a resurgence of popular music when times are hard. We'll see. I agree Glastonbury isn't as edgy and unpredictable as it was but when you have to spend so much putting it on what do you expect especially with health and safety the king now. As Tony Wilson said, it is difficult to predict where the next youth movement will come from. |

The European Court of Human Rights is a court set up by the Council of Europe and nothing to do with the EU. |
