Interesting that reading social media/message boards is said to have put him off signing permanently for them.

That’s not great. I imagine that in the summer someone will make an approach and we’ll end up having to sell for a minimal fee (if we don’t have the option to extend)

This may have been covered (sorry) but do we have to sell kelman in January if he doesn’t sign a new contract?

Onloaded, surely.

As opposed to Offloaded, or just Loaded, which is what I’ll have to be to watch the match.

I’m hoping for three points against Swansea, who aren’t great and will probably have nothing to play for

Probably in a minority of one, but here goes ..

Not a great game of football but…a sensible line up, starting Lloyd and Field and, presumably, taking them off when sports science said they were about to damage themselves. Anderson playing where his weaknesses wouldn’t immediately result in chances for the opposition. And the substitutions made sense to me, assuming injuries and recovery based lack of resilience.
Some thought had been given to how we approached the game - no playing it out from the back. I think the team, yesterday and at Stoke, is definitely amongst the three worst in the league. There is nobody in it who is going to create something with skill. And, the manager and the players understood that, prepared properly, played with heart and met the main objective of not losing to a team deeper in trouble than us.
On a macro scale, things are far below the standards we should be setting, but for that match, with the players available, I was ok with it. I clapped the team off. I was recognising the effort, and clapping the players, not the club. And I was relieved to get a point and that the manager and what players we have left might, in contrast to what we saw at Stoke, have the attitude and pride required to keep us up.

Injury hit, on the beach and checked out, QPR soundly beaten – Report
at 22:02 2 Apr 2025

I’m pretty sure madsen played…no…I’m pretty sure madsen was on the pitch on Saturday.
I think the question of why is a fair one.
Is it because marti thought madsen would improve the team? Surely not.
Is it because the game was gone? Hopefully not, we were playing Stoke.

Well, Lloyd looked pretty fit when he came on, for half the game. Couldn’t we have played him in the first half and seen how he was at half-time?
Or is it Sports EXACT Science, enabling them to know that he will only manage exactly 45 minutes and won’t be fit until 4pm?

I agree. Lloyd isn’t perfect but he’s better than nothing. You can’t start Anderson ahead of paal, and why wouldn’t you play Morrison and push Edwards into midfield where he was good last time.

All those prospects we employed until well into their twenties in the hope that they would come good. Maybe one actually has. We’ve got to give a go next season, surely?

Forever R's - Les Ferdinand

Somebody did a survey where you had to repeatedly choose one player over another (sometimes this caused physical pain) until you ended up with the best/most popular.
I can’t remember the top three but would expect that it matched your three.
Anyone have a link to the results?

I know this is controversial/endlessly debatable but I think of les as our best player ever.

Haven’t looked at the top of the table much and was surprised to see that for all the fuss about the number of clean sheets Burnley have achieved….they are five points off the automatic promotion places! Parker doing half the job really well.
