I know many on here don't like to go back to the real avftt, but just letting you know that the 'result' of mossers meeting with the clubs owners is now on view. It's certainly 'interesting' and will go a long way to dividing the club from its customers even further - something few thought possible. |
| Forum Thread | A gentle reminder at 09:54 16 Dec 2014
The AVFTT online Xmas party will take place on the other site today. Just like the Sainsbury's ad when the allies and the nazi's got together and played football on Christmas Day - which later became the storyline to Escape to Victory - so on for this one time, why not all get together on the old site and make merry. No abuse, no politics, just a real life rollockingly good virtual pi55 up/sing-song/cheese board/20's dancing and a potential dogging fest. Be there or be poolsafroman. |

Messi, Neuer or Ronaldo. I'd go Neuer for this one personally. Winning things counts for a lot more than shooting fish in the La Liga barrel. |
| Forum Thread | SAVE THE DATE - AVFTT XMAS PARTY at 16:43 24 Nov 2014
It's been a triumph in the last 2 years. And for this year, I've penciled in Tuesday December 16th as the day AVFTT goes crazy-aid bonkers for Jesus, beer, food, live muzak, The 20TOGO dance troupe and a floor show featuring LaLa and the Oriel twins.... Oh and this is a once in a lifetime chance for a United AVFTT to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ through the medium of binge drinking. I WILL be inviting the good people of new AVFTT to step onto the old site for one thread only deal. See you there.....?

Karl has championed you. Leave karl and join the Trust. Do it tomorrow and make it public. Maximum damage. |
| Forum Thread | Is Clark getting enough out of the players at his disposal? at 09:51 10 Nov 2014
This accusation was levelled at Riga and Clark has already been allowed to bring in 4 new players on top of the squad Riga was working with. Stands to reason that he's not doing something he should. Right? |
| Forum Thread | So, these changes in the financial fair play rules at 17:47 21 Oct 2014
Karl mentions them in his Gazette column today. Seems like our strong position when the rules 'kick in' isn't actually strong anymore. You'd have thought someone in his position on the football league board would have had an inkling things weren't quite going to plan wouldn't you.... Although of course, maybe it means that it's better for us to spend spend spend now. Let's see how it develops..... |
| Forum Thread | So then, this Plan B at 10:02 30 Sep 2014
What do you think he should do? My view is that the only option available to him, is to go long. Route 1. If he doesn't do it, then another manager - Boothroyd? - needs to come in and get it working. We don't have the quality to try and play football, so we have to find a way to create and score goals. This would also solve the issue of our relatively weak midfield AND give us a better chance of loaning players from PL cloggers like West Ham. |
| Forum Thread | When the new man inevitably arrives at 11:19 10 Sep 2014
How do you receive him? I've just said on the other board, that I won't bemoan anyone for earning a living. They have no emotional attachment to us and that has to be understood and respected. A new manager is not a mercenary for taking a job. However, the farce they are stepping into will STILL be a farce and the reasons for it will STILL be visible and real. As supporters, I feel that we're duty bound to keep up the pressure and the fight. That will possibly mean the new man doesn't get the total support he deserves. However, in war there is always collateral damage. if the new man wants positivity from the stands, then for me he's barking up the wrong tree. Our fight is different to his and just as new men are told to research the ways of Karl, so they should also understand the feeling of the support. This is not about this season, it's about many more seasons to come in the future. I suspect however, that there are some on this board who will see it differently. If so, then I'd like to understand why. |
| Forum Thread | All this Matt Williams stuff at 10:28 8 Sep 2014
You'd think he was some sort of footballing messiah the way people are carrying on. He was an administrator who worked way above his pay grade until the point where he realised he was being shafted too. He was also often the bearer of Karl's bad news, working for him not alongside him. I've nothing against the guy, I don't know him, but seriously, let's not start getting ideas into our heads that were he to return from his obviously better job we'd see a club run differently. The only thing that might change is the person who writes the Gazette column. The content would be vetted by the man at the top and therefore won't change one iota. There's no secret spells, no alternatives and no knight in shining armour here. The club is in the dire straits it's in because of concious decisions taking by the Owen and Karl Oyston. Recognise the foe and do not lose sight of them. All other distractions are counter productive. Yours in Sport SATW |

It has been suggested that in the recent 'Karl's hair' poll, I could have replaced the name of a well-known (but now infamous) radio 1 disc jockey with Jimmy Osmond. I'm happy with this compromise. If you are too, perhaps the poll can be reinstated and real democracy can be used to solve this pressing issue of the day? Yours In Thought SATW |
| Forum Thread | Trying to keep track on who we've got and who can play on Saturday at 11:20 6 Aug 2014
GK - Lewis RB - Tony M LB - Orio or Dunne - does the spaniard have international clearance? CB - Clarke CB - Daniels (is there anyone else?) Mid - Perkins Mid - Mellis Mid - Czyzcha Mid - Lundstram/Costa Rican if work permit comes in Str - Fonz Str - Estonian Used 4-4-2 purely for ease. I'm assuming G-Mac, Davies, Grant and Barks are all injured. Have I missed out anyone obvious? |
| Forum Thread | This site has soon lost its va va voom, its swagger jagger, its robbiedobbie at 09:28 6 Aug 2014
First off, based on FiftyShades post somewhere on another page, it seems like I'm not the only person who got the impression that the move to this new site was a mass migration thing with the old site closing. It's now clear that wasn't the case. What also stands out after a day of it being up and running (at a peak time too I would think) is the clear lack of decent footballing debate going on either re players or the wider aspects of the club. Added to the fact that even a thread mocking Karl's hair gets pulled by the mods and you have to wonder whether its worth staying on here. The old board still as active as it was, with many of the 'big hitters' still contributing interesting debate and many OP's are getting countless replies. I wonder if the classic Oyston tactic of misinformation has been used here too. Think I'll flit between the 2 for now, but unless the standard of debate improves - and I said the same about BHS - then in the words of Theo Prothesis, I'm out. |

| Forum Thread | Can we afford to not play Mackenzie, Davies or even Grant? at 11:25 5 Aug 2014
Lifting the topic from a thread on the old site, but I think it's a relevent question to ask. Mackenzie is a difficult one, because I know many were appalled at his attitude and performances in the second half of the season, but prior to that he'd been an excellent performer for me. Maybe not a ball playing centre back, but certainly one who had good attributes in the Championship. We didn't concede much from set pieces for example. Is there a possible way back after this 'injury' has cleared up? Or does the fact that we all know that he's not injured at all mean he's out of here along with the other 2 - and maybe even Dunne? |
| Forum Thread | It's all very convenient at 09:53 5 Aug 2014
Frankly, the performance of AVFTT on fansonline was about as reliable as Ukranian air traffic control. So while a change of platform is not a surprise, perhaps we should stop a moment and wonder just why it has been done at this precise moment? Has there ever been a more volatile period in the history of Blackpool football club? Has the club - and by that I mean it's owners - ever suffered as much abuse and ill-feeling from the supporters as its been doing recently? I can't recall a time. AVFTT has certainly been a major rallying point for those wishing to highlight the inadequacies of the Oyston family, ironic really, when you could see how much the site was controlled by pro-Oyston types. So, perhaps I'm being overly cynical, but I wonder whether this conveniently timed move, has been deliberately brought forward in order to slow down traffic and quell the rebellion ahead of other distracting factors such as games of football. Expect lots of new headline stories about corners being turned, patience being pleaded for and the threat to angel faced tots from football agents who are greedy parasites. Congratulations TeamAVFTT, you have achieved NOTHING! P.S. As if to prove a point. There is no 9-ball smiley. Only those not in love with all things BFC related would forget such a cornerstone of the previous site. However there is a clap smiley which may or may not come in handy in the future.....
