You are right Max since 2016 it has been a shambles but in fairness to the latest owners they have only been in situ since the end of November. Since then ( 4 months including the Christmas holiday period) they have sacked a failing manager appointed DoF and COO both with experience ( the level of which is a source of debate) of British football and the EFL and have "removed" a chairman for whom many of the fanbase had no faith in.
The club is and has been a shambles but let's not tar the current owners with the same brush as their predecessors yet let's give them at least a year not just a few months.
That said I am concerned about the trajectory the club is on...the weakening on and off the field which has been the case since 2016. When the sellouts rescued the club from the clutches of Pettty so much was said of how it would never happen again. With the Trust as part of things many if us believed this until the sellouts shafted the Trust in korder to line thier pockets.
Surely if Sheehan has any sense he negotiates an improved salary and continues to May. In all honesty though he is the cheapest option it does seem the club is working on other avenues so he us jot in the driving seat.
He is best taking the interim option to May rather than walking whilst he has steadied the ship here twice he has had what 12 games that won't be a lot to convince even a lower league club to take a gamble especially as he has yet to show how he turns his side away from losing. Walking now will leave him out of work unless he has another assisintants job limed up
The interim option till May suits all sides best .
I was amazed Eom got subbed I thought he was causing Burnley problems. I would have taken off Cullen moved Eom to 10 and brought on Ginelly and Bianchini on out wide perhaps dropping Ronald to full back for Key who had a mare. I have always liked Fulton but for me not a player to bring on when chasing a game...maybe Cooper could have replaced Franco?
Has he done well Cardiff beat Blackburn up there today....so that might put our win Sheehans first into perspective.
His subs today bewildering
Eom was far more effective than Ronald as was getting more into the game yet he took him off. As at Watford we were trailing yet brought Fulton on Vipotnik is a passenger he has ovw the last few games had service but just lacks something for me. He had a poor game today and a yes the ref was very lenient to them as they were all over our players yet he flew for fouls and even gave bookings when we had similar "infringements". Sheehan is not the man to take us forward I'm sorry
Worst I've seen us play all season worse than that Portsmouth defeat.
We can't pass to each other not sure what we do in training.
If anyone still thinks Sheehan should get the gig full time after watching that is deluded. Whilst the goals came from us giving away the ball Key for the first we had no clue and as for his subs.
I have no strong feelings either way about Sheehan being made permanent. I raised the comment as many fans were calling for him to be given the full time job on the basis of the results from his first two games. I have enjoyed the football he has us playing it has gotbus much needed points but his substitutions are often like for like which others have been slated for or like last night baffling in bringnon the defensive Fulton rather than the likes of Cooper or Allen when we were causing the game and them the 89th minute bringing on of Cooper. Sheehan needs more time to prove himself and we also see how he copes with a blip which every team and manager gets
