The Plymouth striker was said to be the subject of an offer from a rival club earlier in the week. The New Zealand international is due to remain with the Blues on loan until January 22nd and has said he would like to make the move a permanent one. So far he has impressed during his time at Portman Road and a switch to another League One club would appear to be somewhat less attractive. Town and cash-strapped Argyle are believed to have agreed a provisional permanent deal when the 28-year-old moved to the Blues in late November. Meanwhile, former Town striker Paul Mariner has left his coaching role at Plymouth and is expected to take up a position with MLS side Toronto FC.
