In a total of 113 encounters with Queens Park Rangers in all competitions since 1910, Norwich City edges it with 42 wins to 38, with 33 draws. QPR steals the show in cup games, winning two out of two, but the Canaries have the upper hand otherwise.

The best Norwich City scores in Division 3 (S) matches played in April, 1924; December, 1924 and January 1959 when City came out with five goals in each game with just one in reply in the 1959 match.

QPR came out 5-2 wiiners in a Divison 3 (S) game at Loftus Road in October of 1933.

This season certainly seems to be going the way of the Londoners. In their last 10 games they have won 5, drawn 3 and lost 2, with 17 goals for and 10 against compared to City's won 4 drawn 4 and lost 2, with 20 goals for and 17 against.

The Hoops have been top of the league from day one, with just a couple of blips along the way, although there certainly seems to be considerably more money available to Neil Warnock than there has been to Paul Lambert.

With Elliot Ward and Henri Lansbury both out with injuries, and Leon Barnett and Simon Lappin serving out suspensions, once again Lambert has to put together a side that will work for him.

The recent and very clever deal with MK Dons means that new signing Aroon Abraham will be available as a loan player until later on in the day when he becomes a permanent signing. Able to play as a striker or midfield gives Lambert options.

With Zak Whitbread getting a run out in the fracas with the Blades, and Adam Drury on the bench, the dark clouds may yet have a silver lining.

Warnock will have Clint Hill available to him after a three match ban was overturned, although Peter Ramage is still carrying his knee injury and the longer term injuries to Akos Buzsaky and Lee Cookwill see them miss out.

After years of a love hate relationship between City supporters and Neil Warnock, it is surprising to learn that Warnock thinks highly of the club. Although that will not stop him from sending the heavies in to bully our players at every opportunity.

The one to watch out for is the battle between grant Holt and Kaspars Gorkss. tow players in the old style with Holt's striker coming up agaist Gorkss' center back.

This might turn out to be a battle in the mould of Sheffield United, a previous club of Warnock's, playing in the style he taught them before being given the order of the Wellington Boot from Bramall Lane.

Physical? Almost a certainty, knowing Warnock. However, let us hope it is clean, unlike a recent visiting side.
