![]() Friday, 25th Dec 2009 08:12 A pitch inspection has been called for 10am on Boxing Day to see whether the game at Crewe goes ahead but indications from Gresty Road look very positive indeed. Crewe find themselves in a similar situation to ourselves. Their pitch is covered and has a layer of snow on top of it. There are concerns about an area of the pitch in front of their main stand which doesn't get the sunlight due to its size. But they do seem confident that the game will go ahead on Saturday. Indeed, they put out this rather bold statement on their website: With the current weather forecast, Crewe Alexandra Football Club expects our match with Rochdale to go ahead as scheduled.
