Swans Sign Falkirks Bairn

Home > Story Index >Swans Sign Falkirk's Bairn

David Moss recently signed forFalkirk for a second time in March this year and is noted as an uncompromising midfield attacker. His previous clubs are Ayr United, Dunfermline, Partick, Scunthorpe, Chesterfield and Doncaster Rovers. Born in 1968 in Doncaster he is now 33 years of age and had one previous spell with Falkirk between August 1997 and September 1999 when in68 league and cup appearances he scored 31 goals. His thirteen and a half stonesix foot frame will add to the speculation that Cusack is fast assembling a side that will be able to look after itself next season, a quality clearly lacking when the going got tough last time around.
In total Moss has played in 225 competitive games and scored 82 goals, andalongside the uncompromising Paul Reid recently signed from Bury, Gloucester born David Smith from Grimsby, and complimented by Andrew Mumford and Matt Murphy ( signed from Oxford ) Swansea will definitely have a " Though shall not pass " motto for the 2002 / 2003 season.
Already it is being commented on that the side will be built around a hard shell of experience anduncompromising strength. And if that is what is required by the manager to get promotion then no Swans fans will argue. Especially after thelack of activity from previousmanagerswhen it was needed.
It now seems that Cusack has the players he needs to ensure an exciting season for all Swansea City supporters, but rumour tells us there is yet one more player within his sights before he concentrates on the new season. Southampton are currently in discussions with Swansea over an overseas player who is wantedon a years loan at The Vetch Field. The player, avery quick young striker, is currently mulling over the deal.
Either way Cusack has exploded the Swansea myth that quality players are hard to find and puts in to perspective the failings of John Hollins to sign any league players when Swansea were last promoted as champions to Division three in 2000.
On a level playing field that 28 / 1 shot for the championship is well worth taking up.
