Around 12,000 people are expected to cram into the Vetch tomorrow as Yeovil arrive for the first game of the New Year in what could well be match of the year right at the very beginning.
With both sides breathing heavily down the neck of the leaders Scunthorpe both will see this as a chance to close that gap as well as get one over on their nearest rivals. Potentially a draw would suit both sides very well but it is an outcome that neither side of supporters would probably want to see ahead of the game.
Swansea will be forced into one change after winger Marc Goodfellow returned to Ashton Gate earlier in the week. Andy Robinson seems certain to come in on the left wing berth in what should be an otherwise unchanged side from that which beat Boston 3-1 at the Vetch on Tuesday.
Leon Britton could find himself on the bench filling the space left there by Robinson as he returns from his own injury.
For the visitors Lee Johnson faces a late fitness test after picking up an arm injury in his side#'s 5-3 win at Cambridge on Tuesday afternoon - a match that they found themselves trailing 2-0 in at one point.
The club are advising anyone who has no ticket to turn up as early as possible with the turnstiles to the ground opening at 1.45. All stand areas of the ground have been sold out completely with only the terraced areas being available to those who want to pay on the day.
Both sides have won all their Christmas fixtures to date but one of those records at least will have to fall by the wayside tomorrow in what undoubtedly is the division's clash of the day.
It will be like the old days down the Vetch and backed by 11,000 of our own you probably just have to fancy the Swans to shade it?
Happy New Year - let's start with a win!
C'MON SWANS!
