Actions Speak Louder Than Words

...........for Swansea City Football Club at the Liberty Stadium, there seemed to be a positive presence at the club.

Talk had begun amongst fans about our potential signings for the up and coming campaign, many of which we failed to secure and many we did. However with new signings came new optimism about our new league campaign.

The talk on was to remain in the league, no matter what. Especially after our brief encounter a few years back under Hollins. To remain in the league would see the club more forward and a successful campaign achieved.

It was all built up to the Tranmere game, the first league game of the season,. The time for talking began to fade and the crowd gathered to watch in anticipation at the new surroundings and squad, surely there was only to be one result. A Swansea win. That's what everyone came for and that's what they got.

The season slowly began to take shape and the Swan began to play some outstanding football, which was a joy to watch and hypnotised the fans into believing this could be our year, yet again. The talk of promotion began, Swansea seemed to be strolling the division. Yes the positive presence was still shining on us.

We had a few slip up along the way on and off the field. However what lay ahead, not even Michael Fish could have predicted. The winds began to turn and slowly a black cloud started to descend over the Liberty Stadium, much to everyone's unawareness.

January came and seen the time to strengthen our position within the promotion pack. In came Fallon, Knight, Way (WHO?), Watt and Williams and Out went Conner and Thorpe. Fans really began to believe.

The results began to demise, however we still had hope for results to be amended, but slowly many fans began to realise this wasn't the case. Throwing away certain victories in the final minutes of games, on numerous occasions said the problem lay deeper than our injury problems, but fans demised this for the injury scenario.

We had a little distraction of the FAW cup and League Trophy Final, which was a bonus to our season. It's the league form that counts and what everyone looks at and remembers in years to come though.

Fast forward to present day, the sun has finally left the Liberty Stadium and is moving east to the City Ground. The black clouds have now finally settled over our fine city. What was once a harmonise place, fully of positive feeling for the club. As turned into a nightmare.

What may be the problem? People are blaming the manager and players alike, which is only adequate at a time like this, but over the season the problems have mounted

And the explosion has happened. Off the field problems with numerous players haven't help and have surely unsettled the squad and management team alike, Injuries and suspensions too.

However the Mr Jackett seems to have gone cuckoo, these past few weeks, playing players out of position, constantly rotating the squad (strikers) and not seeming to change anything until it is too late.

The players seem to have lost confidence within themselves and the basics just aren't being done. Add to this the gutless displays over the weekend and what started out to be so positive has now become so negative, fans are starting to call for the managers head.

With three games remaining to salvage the season the time for talking STOPS ! Now its down to the players and management alike to make sure their Actions speak louder than their words.
