Curran heads to Ireland Friday, 15th Feb 2013 17:29 by Col Striker Craig Curran has signed for Irish side Limerick FC on a loan deal that should ensure he stays there for the rest of the season. Curran has spent most of the season way down the pecking order after signing a twelve month contract at the start of the season, yet was unable to force his way into the first team with any regularity. The former Tranmere and Carlisle striker only started one game for the club and was subsequently sent off during this game in what turned out to be his final appearance. He spent a couple of months on loan at Chester and despite his successful time there, finances dictated that the deal could not be made permanent. The loan deal will last for the duration of Curran's contract meaning that it is highly likely that he will never play for the club again. In signing for Limerick, he will team up with former Dale full back Robbie Williams who also signed for the Blues this week.
