Being based in Australia can present some unique challenges as editor of RamZone, the time difference is one of those challenges. As I write this my day is coming to an end while yours is only just into the second half.

]The clock has ticked over to Christmas for you all and busy afternoon and evening lays ahead, full of festive family fun, while in contrast my race has been run.

Family, food and FIFA 14 filled my day (playing as Derby of course, I hope yours is full of whatever makes the day something special for you and adds cheer in abundance.

Not that most Rams fans would need much encouragement to be cheery with such an amazing run on the pitch at the moment and more optimism around the club than for many a year at this time.

It's going to be a big couple of games coming up and a massive end to the season with the Rams well placed to make a real charge at promotion.

But that can all wait for another day (that day being tomorrow), as today is about family, friends and means many things to many people.

Whatever it means to you, on behalf of myself and all of our hard working writing team, I would like to wish our readers and all Rams fans a safe and very Happy Christmas.

Hopefully tomorrow there will be another present to be unwrapped for Rams fans!
