Carragher - Swans Have Made Bad Decisions Saturday, 31st Dec 2016 09:27 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews) Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has talked up Garry Monk as a manager and believes that his sacking a little more than 12 months ago was one of a series of bad decisions that have left us where we are. Monk took over the reigns at the Liberty Stadium in February 2014 following the departure of Michael Laudrup and whilst he led the club to our best ever Premier League finish of 8th in his first full season he lasted less than four months into his second season when he was dismissed after the Swans were torn apart by Leicester at the Liberty. We are now on the look out for our third full time manager since that sacking twelve months back and go into today's game against Bournemouth bottom of the Premier League following Hull's 2-2 draw with Everton yesterday evening. Carragher though believes that that decline goes back to the removal of Monk as manager and believes that Bob Bradley never had a chance to succeed at the club with his view being that he was written off by many before he had overseen a match “I said when Bradley was appointed in October that it was disrespectful that he was being written off before he had taken charge of a game and it was clear some were never going to give him a chance,” wrote Carragher in his weekly Mail column. “Once he had a bad start it was inevitable Bradley would pay the price. Swansea, though, are paying the price for making a succession of bad decisions over the last 18 months – such as the sacking of Garry Monk and defender Ashley Williams’s sale to Everton.” Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
