A lot of fans /commentators will await the result of Saturdays game as a barometer of how Saints' 4th manager in 5 years will shape his new side. Ftom the time that the "other Mauricio" took charge and started his high -pressing style we have seen the Koeman model and the Puel model which showed some progress without still achieving the "Dream Team concept" that everyone seems to expect. After seeing the level of tranfer fees go through the roof this year, we have to face upto the fact that Saints will never be in that League (moneywise) and that at best we may once again achieve Europa League standard at best. I am expecting that some people will regard this as defeatest talk, but as a Saints fan for over 60 years....I do not expect to see a quick fix for our situation whilst agents are allowed to dictate which player goes to which club and the market demands huge fees for players who are , at best, over-rated . We need to concentrate on one match at a time.
