Saints On Verge Of Completing Transfer Deal For Defender Tuesday, 9th Aug 2022 15:52 There is movement in the defensive transfer market for Southampton FC this week with a permanent deal set to be completed in time for the weekend's games.
Will Ferry is set to leave St Mary's and join Cheltenham Town , the 21 year old left sided player who although primarily a left back can also play as a wing back or in midfield has found opportunities to play blocked and is behind Romain Perraud, Kyle Walker Peter's Thierry Small & Jake Vokins in the pecking order at St Mary's
Hence he never managed to play a first team game for Saints, although he did make the bench on 11 occasions in 2020/21 before spending last season on loan at Crawley Town making 37 appearances in League Two.
With a year left on his contract the offer of a move to League One with Cheltenham was a good opportunity.
There is no details of a fee as of yet, although I would suggest it would be minimal but including sell on clauses etc.

Great, but let's get another Premier defender & forward in before Saturday. We, we're never going to beat spurs on Saturday, don't beat ourselves up over it. We never win our 1st game. Let's concentrate on beating Leeds now.

Sensational news - thanks for bringing this major move to our attention. All we need now is news of the sale of Che Adams and we have the final proof that management have completely lost the plot.

A long season ahead unfortunately, at the moment I can’t see where the goals are coming from to keep us up unless we get 2 free kicks every match lol After last seasons ending I thought we would bring in a new manager to freshen things up, after two 9-0s and a 6-0 score lines over the last 3 seasons, most Saints managers have been sacked for less. I hope RH proves me wrong but I can see him being the first manager sacked in the PL this season. The signings have potential and will take time to bed in, we still need at least another striker or 2 if Che goes.

Another departure from the Academy. A released player signed by Liverpool. We bring in "talent" mostly not PL ready. Is my prediction from week or so back coming to fruition? Owners getting potential future big money sales in to fill their pockets while the Academy is run down!!!

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Queens Park Rangers Polls |
