We didn't deserve to win on the balance of play, but to have got so close and missed a couple of good chances is frustrating. Norwich had 19 shots but few were on target and when they were Nardi again showed his worth.

The ref was poor giving Kolli little protection, although his dramatic attempts to win free kicks didn't help. And how we end up with 3 bookings is odd.

We did little going forward but there were definite signs that Illy is getting back to his best and generally we passed the ball so much better than in the Swansea debacle. Paal also had a better game. Varane had been playing well in midfield but isn't so effective in his own penalty area defending corners and free kicks.

It makes those occasional (but still too frequent) slow starts and no-shows difficult too understand. Apart from the moment he gave the ball away in his area Nardi was excellent. Nardi or Dunne MotM for me.

Decent first half followed by a very poor second, stats wise lucky to get a point although a vastly improved performance compared to Swansea.
