I like him a lot. He's shown a lot of character by staying at the club and fighting for his place while his compatriots have jumped ship. He's still a bit too raw to start every game but an excellent 3rd option behind two experienced defenders. He could be at this club for a long time. |  |

Spot on. He's getting better at not rushing his tackles.. He reads the game very well and I saw him dropping off Rooney and Hernandez at exactly the right times, avoiding get sucked too far up the pitch. One of Ash's best qualities that and I'm so pleased he's able to pass that on. Most important contract of the year keeping Ash. | | | |

Obviously hope Fernandez is brilliant for us. However Amat is composed, reads the game well and slots right into the team. He is especially effective against the more "stylish" teams play. Hope he gets lots of opportunity to continue to develop for us.
Of course lacks Chico's excellent forward play that often gave us an edge, but just a different player. |  | | |

I think both Amat & bartley will develop into strong Prem players.
Ashley Williams had an immense game saturday. Footie Focus Dan walker acknowledged that too. Give the media credit where due.
But Ash brought the best out of his team on the pitch , huge focus needed this week
It was a great , memorable win but it was just that...3 points.
Hopefully Gaffer Monk & Big Ash will keep the focus for the coming Burnley game.
Vital that we follow that up with a performance and a win sat...it will be tough against Sean dyche's Burnley. | | | |
