Yup. It's about the minimum acceptable price for a player of his ability.

Bony fee agreed on 11:05 - Jan 11 with 7720 views | Sweyns_Eye | "in the region of £30 million". Just personal terms to agree then. So long Wilf, and thanks for all the goals. I will think fondly (oo-er!) of your tree trunk like thighs and salmon like leaps for the ball. I hope you don't score against us when next you play us.

If Lukaku was worth £27 million, Wilf should have been worth £40 million. Far better player, as the next few years at City will prove

Bony fee agreed on 11:08 - Jan 11 with 7676 views | monmouth | Can't help but feel a bit sad mind. I don't really care about his future now, but I do hope he's at least not consigned to their dustbin if he doesn't hit it off straight away. He should get loads of chances, they love cutting the ball back from the byline...he'll need to push Aguero out of the way first mind! Thanks for the memories and all that, on we go. If we didn't get a floor of 30m that would be disappointing.

We'll have him back for £15m next Jan if he does...

Aren't Vitesse effectively a subsidiary of Chelsea? Which would be a bizarre twist if Wilf scores the goals that deny Chelsea the title.

Bony fee agreed on 11:12 - Jan 11 with 7607 views | blaine_scfc | What a player, he will do the business for City I have no doubt about that. All the best Wilf and thanks for the memories. Important we get atleast £30 mill for him though, would he disappointed if he left for less. In pre season I think £25 million was a fair price as we were only going on one season, but he's carried on where he left off.

Bony fee agreed on 11:15 - Jan 11 with 7578 views | icecoldjack | Sad to see him go and wish him well, he was a great professional for us and deserves his move to a champions league club. Gomis now has the games he wants and is now number 1 he will do just fine as a replcement for Wilf and get bettter with more games.

It's like Hotel California up there. The wages mean no exit.

Bony fee agreed on 11:23 - Jan 11 with 7482 views | FearOfAJackPlanet | The Mail - whilst overall a train wreck of a paper, is often decent on football - 'understands' the initial fee is in excess of £25m, with further add-ons built into the deal. Doesn't sound great to be honest.

I don't have any chums or a husband but if I mentioned 'Lukaku' to my wife, she'd give a big sigh and reach for her Cosmo dictionary wondering what was in store now..

13 / 5 / 1993 - makes him 21 (according to wikipedia). Still reckon Wilf is a bargain at £40 million by comparison.

And the Lampard situation.

Bony fee agreed on 11:59 - Jan 11 with 7143 views | Neath_Jack | I'd be disappointed at anything less than £30m up front to be honest, and even that isn't a great amount for what he is. As others have pointed out, other players who haven't/dont score as many as Wilf have gone for the same or more than this. Difficult position for our club to be in i suppose, Wilf has now had his head firmly turned, so us calling off the deal for a couple of mill would be detrimental to Wilf and the club in my opinion. We move on again though i suppose.
