The article that explains the cover is on page 86 if anyone's interested. It's quite good if you ignore the spelling and the semicolons.

You actually managed to find an article. I've seen less adverts in the yellow pages.

Personally I think that's it's easy to forget that we're talking about refugees here...

Human beings like us, wanted the best for their families & not the swarm of migrants as stated in the press and the bigots.

It's a sad story when even the Germans & French can see the toll of ISIS and what's happening in Syria, but our blinded British nationalism, to preserve our already incredibly high standards of living, distorts our regard for human decency and what's right.

Have we learned nothing from our history?

But for the grace of God eh?

Well the refugee crisis is indeed an incredibly tragic course of events and it was good to see our Government finally make some sort of concession today although I would have liked to have seen us go much further and a total revisiting of the immigration controls that are quite frankly strangling our economy, especially the hi-tech industries.

Have to say I am just so impressed by the responses of the German government and people in recent weeks. It's a country I love and frankly I've fallen more in love with them in recent weeks. Great stuff.

I haven't posted at all for some time, aggressively or not, so depressing do I find the level of general comment on here to be honest.

Trampie is a WUM whose only focus is on provoking reaction. It is ruining any semblance of sensible conversation on here, hence my irritation.

There are some great discussions, and opinions, many of which I totally disagree with which is obviously to be expected, but people just deliberately posting in fake personas just to be controversial is phenomenally tiresome.

I will try to be less irritated with the fakes

Whilst I agree with you on the general level of debate here which is very depressing, you do seem rather partial when it comes to dishing rebukes out don't you?

It's easy to have a go at dgt as he is a moronic racist oaf, so easy game. And you don't like Trampie obviously.

Plenty of other people here say equally offensive things but you seem to be friendly with them, and never castigate them like you do others.

You're quite selective aren't you?

I don't 'dislike' Trampie - I don't know him.

I just find the WUM attempts tiresome.

Re not castigating people - I don't believe that I'm the forum police. So if I happen to see a message that I wish to engage with, and I disagree with its contents, then I will, but if I don't happen to see it, or would rather not comment, I don't.

I also find that there are posters that I disagree with vehemently, but who may make a pleasant or friendly remark to me and I will respond in kind. I have even done so with the aforementioned Trampie.

Equally, I have always enjoyed, for example, Dav as a poster, and yet I castigated one of his posts more than I have done with pretty much any poster I can recall. From memory the only time I can recall swearing on this forum was at ECB, and he is one of my favourite posters on here.

So to be honest, I don't know who you are referring to in particular, but I believe you to be mistaken, re my selectiveness or otherwise.

Your slightly patronising tone is strange but thanks for your suggestion - I'll try to make sure I roundly castigate anyone you disagree with. G'day.

Lisa you need to have respect for others point of view, particularly if it is presented as a coherent argument.

I have just lost an 'internet' friend [sign of the times hey 'internet' friend], the gentleman was an English military man that frequented a Welsh rugby board and we crossed swords many times over the best part of a decade, England v Wales rugby, capitalism v socialism, unionism, nationalism, republicanism, perhaps its why I'm well versed in certain debates with you. smile.

The gent was highly thought of and very very highly decorated [he didn't advertise this], the type of man that Lohengrin would loved to have met, he lead his men in different theatres and things happened and he had me putting a different political view point forward and even under those circumstances he respected my view point and I understood his view point, he used to PM me regularly with friendly messages even though in the early years we would have very strong debates.

So Lisa you need to respect others with a different point of view and not call them everything just like the highly respected highly decorated gentleman I refer to.

Your making Olchfa school/Swansea West/Mumbles types seem like a bunch of St Trinian's hooligans.

I do have respect for other people's opinions if presented as a coherent argument.

However, I don't have respect for blatant attempts to provoke a reaction which you are often prone to do.

And I'm not from Mumbles.

A lot of people think Ramsey is a better player than Shelvey, if you can't deal with that view then you need to grow up.

sorry?

I have no problem with that view - over the past few years I would agree with it - at the moment, based on current form I don't.

But the wording of your post yesterday:

"Ramsey is far better than Shelvey it has to be said.

Ramsey leading player for a top four team, Shelvey failed player in a top six team."

is a strange one for a Swans supporter don't you think? This following your remarkable assertion that Wales would beat the Swans. Given that you wouldn't for one moment believe that Wales would beat Man Utd (for example - and nor would anyone else) and in our last game out we beat them, it's a fairly blatant wind up. Either that, or you have no idea what you are talking about of course (in my opinion).

By the way, currently I think you'll find that Ramsey is a leading player for a top 6 team and Shelvey is a leading player for a top 4 team by the way

I most certainly would expect Wales to beat Man Utd, Swansea just beat Man Utd and Rooney could not get the better of Williams, their Dutch players have just lost to Iceland at home and Turkey away, no reason not to think that Ramsey, Bale and Williams cant take a team that lost 4-0 to the MK Dons last season.

Then you are watching a different Wales team to me.

And I say that as a massive supporter, who couldn't be more proud than if we qualify (which we will).

Cannot wait until next summer, but I personally don't believe the standard to be much higher than Championship for the majority of international teams.

The Wales team I have been watching in the last year are inside the top 10 in the World, proper rankings based on results only which are weighted depending on the competition and when the results were achieved.
Can't say fairer than that.

Yes, Ramsey played well in Wales previous campaign, I remember him scoring out in Belgium to get us a 1-1 draw, up in Hampden to help us to a 2-1 win, I think he scored at the Liberty when we beat Switzerland in the last Euro's and I think he scored for GB in the Olympics at the Millennium Stadium in one of the matches around the same time.

Considering how good Wales have been in this campaign Ramsey has been very good but not at his Rolls Royce best, but in this campaign Bale has.

I'm confident Wales will make the finals and with Wales defensive set up, if Bale and Ramsey are on fire then no matter who the opposition is in a one off game then they can watch out, can't imagine the top teams parking the bus against Wales and Bale on the break could be interesting.

Belgium have literally wall to wall top Premier League quality, they didn't get the better of Wales they have the likes of Courtois, Alderweireld, Kompany,Vertonghen, Fellaini, Chadli ,Mirallas, De Bruyne, Hazard, Benteke, Lukaku.

Others are Januzaj, Dembélé, Origi , Mignolet , Vermaelen [used to play in the Prem].

They could literally field a team and bench of Premier League players and top ones as well.

I don't swear very often (apart from at the Swans matches) but I think I took umbrage at the suggestion that I had made up my neighbour George re the mansion tax.

Sadly, in the interim, George has died and his house has been bought by some sort of b***ard property developer, so he wouldn't have had to pay it anyway as it happens!

Good old innings he had though - was evacuated on D Day - a fact I discovered when I was telling him that my parents were stuck in Prague when the volcano erupted causing all flights to stop - he told me that the last time he was stuck in Europe was on D Day :-)
