Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

I believe that even our weak midfield can just about go toe to toe with theirs. I think it will be close.

I'm going to go for a 1-3 loss. Hopefully I am wrong.

Every now and then I read a post and avoid looking at the poster to see if I can guess who posted it.
That one was very easy.

Merson predicts Swans 2-1, and says Siggy is the "best player in the bottom half of the league."

If all his results were correct, we would go up to 15th place and be 3 points clear of the relegation zone, and what could also be important, Hull would have a worse goal difference than us. Very satisfactory.

Have the Texas Rangers found the missing Super Bowl shirt yet?

I've noticed over the last three seasons that montero always seems to be injured from oct-March.
I reckon he just doesn't like the cold.
You watch he'll be injury free from March to September

Ki and Leon out for Sunday's clash

Update on Ki injury

"It is possible he could be a couple more weeks away, he has had specialist opinion on knee, he will have more advice and go from there. It is not a long term injury, I am hoping it will be three to four weeks and we see him back again. With Leon out it does not leave us with a lot of depth in midfield and we need to keep the guys who have been doing well fit."

Unplayable on his day Penc, typical winger & has many off days.

Be great to have him back for the run in as another option.

Here's their fans forum: https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/110572-swansea-city-a-next-sunday/

and there's an interesting bit of analysis by one of them on its page 7:

So what do you think CR will do against the two defensive lines Swansea will implement, Clement is probably the best defensive coach in Europe and he loves to frustrate the opposition, what tends to happen with the experience of Clement I have is this, you will push up against his two banks of four, you will be sucked into playing really narrow and he will frustrate you until you change your formation, you will try and make your wingers more expansive to combat the two lines and move them out to the wing and he will punish you, how many 1-0 Clement wins I have witnessed is unreal, he bored the left breast off me.

Even though we're playing at home I am very happy for us to play defensively and give them a taste of their own medicine. We know exactly how they'll play against us because it's been the way that they beat us in our last three matches with them. They'll defend and try to counter-attack, and get the ball in space behind our back four for Vardy to run on to and score. But this time it isn't going to work, because their two centre backs Morgan and Huth are older and slower, we now have pace all over the pitch to over-run their mid-field, Vardy's confidence has gone, and our manager is too canny to allow them to have any space in front of goal.

So, hopefully, we'll be set up as we were in the second half v Man City and get a 2 - 1 win. Come on you Swans!

There's a certain hypocrisy/irony in that Leicester fan post isn't there. They've been the masters at defensive bore-offs, nicking it 1-0 on the break. About time we did these. I think we can, but agree I'd be happy to not go gung-ho but retain that defensive shape.

Mark Lawrenson predicts us to draw 1-1, Middlesbrough to draw, and Sunderland to beat Southampton. If correct, then we'd drop back into the relegation zone.

I wouldn't be so sure. PC said today that Ayew will be involved on Sunday, and I would presume that he will be the wing we bring in off the bench.

I think we will start Narsingh on the right side, and either put Routledge on the left and move Siggy back to the 10 (leaving Fer as the odd man out), or leave Siggy on the left and bench Routledge. Given how hard Fer was been working lately and Routledge's limitations, I'm hoping for the latter.
[Post edited 9 Feb 2017 15:44]

Think we may well see Narsingh and Ayew eventually become first choice out wide with Routledge and Dyer as the experienced cover. Barrow and Montero to be moved on.

Would also leave us needing to squeeze Siggy in there somewhere too, but that's a nice problem to have, albeit one we might not have past next summer.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I think we'll see the 'regular' starting line up of the past few games, with Routs, Llorente and Siggy as the front three.

He's probably thinking Narsingh to replace Routs after an hour, and Ayew to replace Llorente with ten/fifteen mins to go.

I'll probably get pelters but anything is an improvement on Dyer coming on as a sub.

Still find it hard to believe he was given a new contract

The only reason I can think of is to sell him at a good price. I reckon that he could do a really good job in the Championship or SPL.

Line up wont change. It's working well to what exactly PC wants from the boys at the moment. Narsingh is an impact sub. I can't see Ayew starting games until we're safe or a couple more points adrift (should that be the case) why change what's working already? and depsite most peoples criticisms of Routledge his defensive work in front of a subpar Naughton is really good. He helps a lot. I wouldn't let Narsingh lose in front of KN in a must win game, especially after against Southampton it was evident Narsingh's defensive work isn't the best & why would he even consider putting Siggy on the bench? Siggy and Routledge defend and go forward well. PC is more concerned with defending first than WR's "limitations" Do watch/understand the games? Bench Siggy for Narsingh f*cking hell.
