Who could possibly have foreseen Clement being sacked?

Huw "Mr Dynamic" Jenkins...

I can't say I'm surprised - it takes the moron half an hour to finish a fûcking sentence.

Last night i initially thought that we must have someone lined up given they said announcment within 24 hours. I was thinking, ah ok, we've lined it up just need to get it signed and sealed as it were.

Looks like, if this is the case that is, that who ever was lined up and had agreed has now backed out. IF so, I'm sure we will all come to the same conclusion.

What i do hope is Leon is not going to be thrown under the bus.

Oh right, so the timing was so carefully planned there was no one lined up then. Instead we rely on someone with zero experience. How super.

The players just have to win this match. Players in the right positions please and just tell them to go out, act like f***ing professionals and win the game. Forget 'coaching'. Go out and do the job you are paid to do.

If only top level professional football was this easy.

You lot are worse than old women?
Who did you want taking the team training and over seeing the team on Saturday? A man who knows the club inside out, has been apart of the coaching set up, can take training and knows the players OR a new manager who doesn’t know the players, the club and has taken one training session at most before a really important match on Saturday?

I'd av gone for Pep Guardiola, myself.

Good luck, Mr Cooper

Should've locked him in a cupboard after the game down here.

There's no room in Mr Dineen's office, unfortunately...mostly because Mr Dineen is in there, tbh

Good luck, Mr Cooper

An Experienced manager is what we need, and experience is what Britton hasn't got.

A simple statement.
'Mr ............ (fill in as appropriate) has been appointed as our new Manager / Head Coach (delete as apprpriate) and Leon Britton will take charge of the team for the Crystal Palace game to give him time to review the squad and settle in.' QED

This is the correct decision of course..assistant manager and knows the players and club inside out.
But this must only be for the Palace game and the Liverpool games only.
They must have decided who they want before sacking PC and it gives 5 or 6 days to go through the contractual details..of course they have to decide on their vision and January budget before signing.
All above would be the correct way to deal with this situation anything else is suicide.
The January window must be a big spend with the quality needed also.

Honestly the best thing Britts can do is just put himself in the team and lead by example.

You could see this happening a mile off the moment he was appointed to the bench.

I feel sorry for him, but wish him all the best.

What's mad about this, apart from the Britton aspect is someone predicted recently this is exactly what would happen. Clement would go and Cameron Toshack would be involved somehow before making his way to first team coach. I can't remember who said this, but it's actually happening.
