I think the rule, as I remember it, is that if you tackle and get the ball cleanly it's a tackle. Brilliant tackle by Scowen. Clearly takes the ball. No idea at all how the ref sees that as a penalty. If the lino is on that side, no idea if he was, that should have been overturned. Dreadful decision, but we all see them given. |  |

Nice one PP - Clear as anything. I think the confusion, for me, is that "got the ball, ref" never ended up a penalty when I was playing, so I carried on thinking that way. |  |
