Happy Brexit Day on 11:15 - Feb 1 by Boris_ | Not on social media? Is that because you have no friends or anyone that would be interested in your mundane council estate life? 😱 |
Is being on social media a barometer for how successful or popular you are? I’m not on social media, have loads of friends and do pretty good to be fair. Whereas I know loads of people who tons of ‘friends’ on Facebook who have fairly grim existences, no job, skint and sadly couldn’t be considered to be successful.

How do we know you’re telling the truth unless you can prove how many Facebook or Instagram friends you have? Liking of your posts is the only demonstrable way of your popularity to the wider world. [Post edited 1 Feb 2020 11:39]

There is literally no point in doing anything unless you get some likes.

I predict Heisenberg has a pretty grim existence with a mundane minimum wage job, with a limited friendship group and it may be a reason why he's not on social media.

Anyone that works gets my respect including those on the minimum wage. I don't look down on people which given your short arse status is some achievement. I'm pretty much retired now and pretty comfortable with my existence thanks. I feel sorry for you if you think being on Facebook is a measure of how popular you are. Do you post pictures of what you having for dinner to your 'friends' ?

For the wealthy over the poor.

I’d call it bitterness. We voted to leave in 2016 and the rich and powerful have tried every trick in the book to subvert democracy because they didn’t get the result they wanted. It even looked like they were going to prevail. Then the people spoke and Boris won a landslide and here we are, the result of the referendum is being delivered. It’s a victory for democracy. You might not like the result but you cannot argue against the validity of the result. The people spoke - twice - and we are leaving.

Happy Brexit Day on 13:36 - Feb 2 with 623 views | thissceptredsaint | My main worry about Leaving is that the rich and powerful were the ones wanting us to leave. Sadly some other rich and powerful people wanted us to stay so its clearly a bit more complicated. I'm very worried about Johnsons brexit trade plans as reported today as he is planning to stop our parliament, the mother of parliaments remember whom we voted to give back control through leaving, having the power to scrutinise and amend any future trade deal. So Boris Johnson could introduce for his friend Donald, Chlorinated chicken, he could sell off the NHS and our parliament could not hold him to account. Even with Johnson's majority we still have a right to know and criticise the deals Johnson is formulating, thats democracy. That was what leave is supposed to give us...better democracy. On the day we left Europe the EU was introducing legislation to make millionaires and billionaires declare where they are squirrelling money that should have been paid in tax. They then would have been made to pay their taxes. No wonder bankers like Mr Farage were celebrating. They got off the hook. I am also awaiting the 350 million a week we were promised for the NHS. Shall we see if thats a lie? Of course for people with children who are being made to compete with poorly paid eastern Europeans for work at any level, Brexit should be a good thing but Boris has invited African nations to send their people over to fill the gap and also India has said they wont accept any major trade deals without promising increased immigration flows from the sub continent. So our people will be competing it seems with more migration into the country not less. This is not the impression that was given by the leave campaign.
