He's been out injured since last January and isn't back on grass yet. That's also how long he's been stalling on a new contract. One year left and his heart isn't at Sunderland now. Sunderland either keep him, hope he comes to form and writes off £5-6m at season's end or takes an offer of £6m+addons and wipes it down. I think Adams to Everton, Stewart to Saints and Sunderland still with no strikers on the books (fit or unfit) still playing 4-6-0 until the Christmas window opens. | | | |

We then sell Che in January, possibly to a side in relegation trouble in the Prem, who might be desperate and could therefore pay him more than he might get if he left now.
We would lose a few million on the fee in probability, so it may not be ideal from our perspective.

Like wise I can’t for the life of me understand why we would loan him. My guess is. Che isn’t going to sign a new contract and maybe he has said he will sit it out rather than move. So we are trying to get a loan fee and save on his wages | |
