As we all know Grimes and Fulton in midfield is pointless. Cabango always has a mistake in him and on another day could have seen red. There is no link from the back to the front and playing Yates in this system is a waste. No shots on target is not good enough. We’ve lost the midfield battle (I use that word lightly) hand over fist.
No control of the ball, no movement. There was a moment in the first half where the ball was rolled out to Cabango who could have passed to Darling (who has not been too bad) but the path was blocked by a Stoke forward. There was no interest on Darling’s part to move to receive the pass. Just stood there hands on hips.
