This still rings true.
There’ll be more pain in the short term but there is talent in the Welsh game.
In three years time these boys will have 50 caps and then we may be able to challenge.

After losing so many experienced internationals and extreme pace taken out of the squad, we were left with a massive rebuild - something Gatland is good at doing.
After a diabolical first half and then a poor start to the 2nd, we were 27 points down, but what a fight back!
We lost 5 straight lineouts in that first half, but won 8/9 (that 1 loss most probably cost us the match) in the 2nd, plus taking 2 off Scotland.
We won 3/3 in our scrums, plus took 2 against the head from Scotland.
We only conceded 4 pens in 80 mins, while Scotland conceded 16 - 14 on the bounce in that 2nd half, and 2 yellows (should have been more!)
While we may finish closer to the bottom this season, and maybe next - the future under Gatland looks a lot brighter than it did after 42 mins!! 😇 | |
