Jack Grealish and Declan Rice. on 18:55 - Sep 7 with 2242 views | ReslovenSwan1 | RoI representation was just an early insurance policy. Both were born and bred in England. Bale declined even to play for the odious Team GB. There is only one shirt for me Cymru. I f a Welsh born fellow wants to play for England it does not bother me. Rhys Jones a towering centre back from Liverpool switched at 19 and failed to play again after England u19. Somewhere in the lower leagues. Jonathan Bond an experienced keeper switch at u21 now plays in the US leagues I think. Koumas is now committed to the Dragon. Some good prospects coming through.

He identifies as Irish. Capello and Eriksen did not sing the anthem either.

Probably cost him a lot of money in the long term. Imagine the uproar by the nats if the Welsh manager failed to give a post match interview in Welsh 👍

Did you used to refuse to sing the anthem when you went to all those Wales games? I can imagine you stamping your feet and saying ‘I’m not singing it unless it’s translated into English.’ 🏴🏴🏴 [Post edited 8 Sep 0:07]

Jack Grealish and Declan Rice. on 00:43 - Sep 8 with 1901 views | Ohyeah | Cannot see Carsley lasting long then. The ROI poach other countries on a regular basis especially NI so they really cannot complain its a case of you win some & lose some. They memorably poached Kevin Sheedy from Wales many years ago because of the FAW refused to tell him if he was named in one of the Wales youth squads.

Maybe he classes himself as an English republican. It does make me wonder why some sing the anthem with such fervour when they’d probably boot the royal family out without batting an eyelid.

I think a nations anthem goes far beyond what the individual supports. He isn’t fit to lead his country of birth. An anthem by its very meaning evokes passion and togetherness, and has very little to do with any politics or belief. If he had a brain he would have thought this through far better. The minute he starts messing up he will be in trouble, and the FA I believe will get rid of him once this tournament is done in March. They will find this sidetracking issue an embarrassment.

What's the bet that he sings it at the next game, he was a clown as a footballer so it shouldn't be a surprise that he's a clown off the field as well. I agree he'll be gone at the end of the tournament, if he wins it that may change of course. [Post edited 8 Sep 11:22]

It's not unusual for Liverpool fans to boo the national anthem.

They consider themselves some form of socialist republic which is amusing. Not forgetting the ‘far right’ were to blame for the riots there which were extensive and damaging. I forget the exact figures now but at least half of those arrested came from this ‘socialist mindset’
