Looking to the fans for the 'extra mile, extra energy'! As if we/they haven't given it up in spades already!
Would prefer it if he put the boot on the other foot and said we and the team really owe the fans, but that wouldn't be modern football, would it? (Accountability, respect, and other such quaint sporting values.)
Field's return gives us some ballast at least, hopefully.

He's said that the team owe the fans on plenty of occasions, and its blindingly obvious to most of us (but apparently not to you - no surprise there) that he cares passionately about the fanbase and has not forgotten how everyone got behind him in the home game at Stoke when I think even he had begun to think he was not long for his world.
Its getting extremely tiring being consistently exposed to your unwarranted finger-pointing. There's enough drama going on with the current on-field situation without you adding fuel to the flames. |  | | |
