Sunderland coach travel cancelled 17:20 - Apr 7 with 2060 viewsKeithHaynes

You would have thought a couple of free buses would have helped.

People who purchased tickets could well be more than pissed off now, reliant upon travel which they have paid for.

This club 🤬

Absolutely disgusting. How can something be cancelled if you have bought a ticket, they should have run it at a loss if necessary.

This is definitely something the owners need to get a grip on. Many fans rely on those buses.

This is why I don't believe the words they said at the Forum, lets see what happens in the close season, if they're penny pinching now its only gonna get worse.

I’m astounded, I just can’t understand this ‘all in this together’ party line. It’s not a good start. Fans first always. I’m not having it that £900 wasn't available to do this, even for one bus. And I’m not having this refund nonsense either. It’s time off for kids, plans have been made etc.

These new owners are showing their true colours early.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

This not good at all.

What sort of numbers are we talking in regards to purchasing tickets for the bus trip?
Hopefully a refund on the match ticket if they were reliant on the bus with the club.

But no suprise, we're just seen as customers and should he stop attending then there's plenty more who will replace him.

I have spoken to Paul Barrett sec of trust who I grew up with.He is trying to find out why it was cancelled (probably lack of numbers)I said they should put on a minibus then.I do airport transport for a living so when he finds out how many I will ring some contacts. This is something the club should be doing rather than leave people in the lurch. But if I can help happy to do so.

They are providing initially 10 free coaches for QPR. The trouble is Turners are charging £60 for the trip to Sunderland because of the bad behavior on the buses they have security on board.
I travelled after Covid on club buses for 2 games, the behaviour was horrendous on the bus and at the services and as someone who went to 95% of away games said i wouldn't go again.
Luckily enough I now travel on a private coach with other regulars every game, no its not The Red Lion Bus.
When these free coaches are run we don't get the free travel. We did raise this with Tom Gorridge who said to send him and email as he was unaware of other Buses. Regular supporters also travel by car and when money is available to help fans it should be a reduction on ticket prices that way everyone benefits.

Hi, I’ve been told had they filled the official coach it would have gone. Yes, there are numerous other independent coaches. I’m unsure if the behaviour thing is still an issue. Or they wouldn’t be providing ten coaches to QPR, just a thought.

Face it, we are seen purely as the mugs who pay for overpriced tat, overpriced food and drink and overpod players who iften don't give a monkeys.

All the owners want to know is how much more can they get the mugs to cough up.

The sheep are beig fleeced, it's time to tell them to flock off.

Nooooo 😂

He was involved in The Independent Travelling Swans in the nineties. (TITS)

Me and Phil ran the Gloucester Independent Travelling Swans. (GITS)

Fair numbers too.

Huge Hairdo ran FOSCFA.

Started in 1980 in Pembroke Dock a guy called Pat Mcquillan, his son was at the Swans at the time. We coordinated buses from Pembrokeshire. some woman in St Clears was the link to Swansea FOSCFA . Stole money from the club. Always one. Memories eh ? I was entrusted with the bus from Haverfordwest. I was off my head back then, don’t know how we pulled it together 😂

Tom Gorringe has explained the issue in the programme notes for tonights game [online].

Just four fans had booked tickets for the coach.
And there is a nod to poor behaviour on away buses in recent times.

It is on the official site.
