At Brintree Town yesterday, George Thomas was subbed for Morecambe and Elijah Dixon-Bonner came on.

Just a reminder of where our hopes were and where they are now.

On George Thomas, I genuinely don't think I can remember single on of his 40 appearances.

I do remember Cov fans being up in arms about his departure and I was pleased when we signed him.

Mad that a team like Morecombe has enough quality to sub one home international for another.

Was Emmerson Sutton playing for Morecombe?

Thomas was well liked at Cambridge but lost over a season to an ACL injury so no league team is going to touch him if he can’t prove his a afitness.

I think EDB made less of an impression on me than George Thomas.

I remember George Thomas had to be taken off before half-time by Warburton when we were getting mullered at home by Valérien Ismaël's Barnsley.

I remember a 12.30pm kick-off when he started up front and we were something like 3-0 down by half-time. He ran around like a lamb gambolling in the fields.

Ha ha, just seen the post above - yes, that was the game.
